I still wish we didn't take out Tazawa since he only had 9 pitches, but it's good to see they didn't take out Uehara after 8 pitches. Those extra innings can save us if the game goes far into extra innings.

Makes me think they don't want to. There's has to be something up with Tazawa. His velocity is fluctuating all season.

Koji>Papelbon

Ueh has two outs and working on the 3rd while Papelbon would still be glaring in and swinging that arm of his back and forth back and forth waiting to throw his first pitch.

Uehara has a 0.69 WHIP. That's craziness. He's leading the league among qualified relievers.

Papelbon's career best was 0.77 WHIP.

Rivera's career best was 0.67 (and his second best is way off at 0.83)

Eckersley hit 0.61 twice (and his next best was also way off at 0.91).

Alex Torres is at .64 WHIP and a .27 ERA after today's game. That's 1 run in 33 innings. I couldn't do that in a video game on easy mode.

The Angels made him an offer in 1999 to come to the US, he could be hell of a closer during his early years to now.

Damn it nava. U couldnt at least have prolonged the inning enough so we could be closer back too the too of the order.

Bro, he took 11 pitches. That's prolonging the inning right there.

Ik, but i wanted him too get us closer too the too of the order by getting on base,

LOL!! They need to get over it and move on.

Not sure why they hate him. Not sure why they compare him with Koji. He is the best closer that this franchise has had, as simple as that; he is not comparable, not even close.

As established with the Tazawa inning, the majority of these next hitters are weaker vs. lefties. I might have used Breslow before Thornton, but if Thornton can't get Seattle players out that are weaker vs. lefties then he doesn't deserve a roster spot.
