I actually like it. (While I'm not technically a Pats fan, I do support them, they just aren't my team)

He's a good guy, with a good work ethic, not a criminal, and the Pats are a really good team and have really good personnel that can get the most out of each player. The Pats probably have a plan and a use for Tebow, unlike the circus he was involved in with the Jets.

They should coordinate the entire team doing "Tebowing" once he scores.

How many excessive celebration penalties would they get per game?

I'd personally chip in money for the fine if the Pats do that  It wouldn't be much though lmao

I'm just glad he's off the Jets. We had no use for him. Direct cause of Sanchez's poor performance. He kept looking over his shoulder and seeing Tebow standing on the sideline.

What a lame-ass excuse. What was the reason for his suck before they got Tebow then?

Injuries. Still is.

As an SC fan, Sanchez just sucks (as do all former SC quarterbacks). He's Matt Leinart without the beer bong pics.

Depends on how many times Tebow scores per game. And if the score is so lopsided that Belichick is having Tebow be the feature player, then they can obviously afford a few excessive celebration penalties.

Sanchez flat out sucks.

I agree, but in his first two years, he had an excellent supporting cast. Last year, his receivers were hurt, and then they traded Revis in the offseason. Ugly.

One of my college roommates (a Jets fan) said that he would rather have Sanchez than Flacco. Granted this was a year or so ago so I'm not sure if he feels the same way, but he said that Sanchez troubles and Flacco's strengths were due to their respective quality clubs. Flacco overratedness aside, comparing him to Sanchez??

They're not even in the same league, Flacco is overrated but I think he's still a top 10 QB, Sanchez on the other hand is in the bottom 10 of all QB's.

I can't imagine how they will use him.

I'd be shocked if he gets any playing time, even in blowouts (I suspect that'll go to Mallett). In my mind it's pretty clear that this is a project for the future.

This is a Bill Belichek shot in the dark. If he hits, he'll be set for the next decade too. I think Tebow has the innate capability to be a good QB, I just think his mechanics suck so much that he needs time to work on them in an environment where he isn't jerked around. And if he isn't making progress, the Pats can convert him or cut him without losing anything

I like Tebow--for the same reasons Belichick mentioned in his news conference. He had a good rookie year in Denver. Damn good. But he isn't a classic drop-back, in the pocket QB, like his boss, John Elway, was. Maybe doesn't have the arm for it. So Elway let him go in favor of Peyton Manning. Not a bad switch, mind you.

Belichick will play this kid to his talents. He has his Denver coach as his offensive coach, and you can see them develop a style for when he is needed. Brady is old, and could get injured at any time. Tebow could get his chance before you know it.

The Jets are a confused, media-obsessed organization. They are a mess. Revis may never be the same player after blowing a knee, but he's gone so the star appeal is lost. You contrast the Jets to the lower key Giants, who are far more successful and have a much better organization. The Jets are the lesser team in NY, trying to make a lot of noise. Last year it was Tebow. Nothing so far this year.

Pretty much. Flacco might not be all he's cracked up to be in some respects, but the team that has him doesn't have a quarterback problem. The same can't necessarily be said for Sanchez.

I guess the Pats will find a way to use him. Saw some of him the last few days. How can a guy that has so much raw athletic talent look so completely inept throwing the football. Granted he was a "college" quarterback but watching him is staggering. Classic example of a guy that just guts things out and is at his best on game day. However when you watch even his footwork you are left laughing your ass off. Don't know how you would realistically prepare him for a game at QB because his practices at the position appear to be just terrible.

No. He just sucks.

/co-signed.

I'm not sure I was here when the Jets traded for him, but it was so obvious it was a huge mistake. Not only does he suck, but why put even more pressure on Sanchez? A team like the Pats or Green Bay should have picked him up - somewhere where there is absolutely no question of a QB controversy.
