I read the second half of his post and was waiting for Username to make fun of me about it. Low and behold you're a wise guy (gal) too.

I hope that you're only referring to the "I'm too lazy to look this stuff up" part. :)

That is exactly what I was referring to. Nothing else....at all....by far!!!!!

It's fine VA. You're still my favorite poster, and I'm not saying it because I have to. :)

LMAO!! :D

You know which poster's "grind my gears" and you are not one of them!

I give you props for admitting it. If only everyone on the forums took the time to look things up before posting, the world will be a better place. If it makes you feel better, you're a better poster for your age than I was, and way ahead of Suns. You might not get the reference but Suns was a 14-15ish year old kid who might compete for worst poster in TS history.

Just wait until I mature a little and get some free time... hehehe

According to Frisaro, Giancarlo Stanton, Logan Morrison, Steve Cishek and Mike Dunn are all considered building blocks and are likely to stay put with the Fish. All of that could change if the Marlins are overwhelmed by a team willing to overpay, but even a package for Cishek would have to start with a team's No. 1 prospect, according to Frisaro. As it stands, the 27-year-old closer is not available.

Hahaha I wouldn't trade our top prospect (or any of the next few) for the ENTIRE Marlins team sans Stanton.

I will be absolutely shocked if the Sox trade for Paps. It won't happen unless the Phillies take on salary and do not expect much return...in other words, it won't happen

I would. Jose Hernandez is a really good starter under team control for a long time.

Jose Fernandez is a given to not be traded and was just not mentioned on the list.the marlins wouldn't trade him for anything short of a godfather offer. he would cost more than stanton.

The Marlins also have some other nice pieces in Jacob Turner, Logan Morrison and Steve Cishek, so I guess if I literally was offered them all for Bogaerts I'd take it, but considering the fact that the Marlins want the top prospect (to start) for Cishek means they can go f*** themselves and enjoy last place for another few years.

The Marlins payroll is about 3 cents and they have some good young players. That is the way they like it. I don't expect that they will be active in the market at the trading deadline.

Now I'm not sure I trade Xander for the Astros 25 man roster... At least the Marlins have a few nice pieces.

Garza could be down to the Rangers and the Red Sox. The only caveat is how much you give for a rental.
Did you read or hear this from a media source?

I'm not too hot on Garza considering the rumored asking price and the fact that I really don't think he'll be enough of an improvement to justify paying it.

Cliff Lee I'd be interested in but Amaro has intentions of buying at the deadline and the price would still be pretty damn high.

Workman's first start in the majors, and he throws 6+ no hit innings. The guy's value must be as high as it ever will be right now... wonder what some sucker GM would give for him.

Given the question marks in the Sox rotation, Workman is worth more to them than to anybody else at this point. Funny we started the season with some folks thinking about having two 1's and for different reasons, BING-BANG-BONG, they have turned into two 5's.

Buch has a hell of a lotta' talent but if you can't stay on the field, you can't stay on the field.

Who needs Buch and Lester when we have the almighty John Lackey imposing his will on opposing hitters?

Seriously, though. Where would we be without Lackey going full on Ace over everybody's asses this year?

You threw him under the bus big time. You have no bragging rights on this one.;)

******** I threw Lackey under the bus! You speak blasphemy!

Yep, I think you did it right in your signature. LOL!!!

Just because I'm bragging about my future wife in my sig doesn't mean I no longer am president of the John Lackey Does Not Suck Club.

It's one start dude.

He is a #4-5 starter at best, and I doubt anyone believes he's much better than that. But a cost controlled #4 starter is still a valuable commodity to teams in rebuilding mode. Workman won't bring back Garza, but he might be a pretty solid trade piece -- because his skill set seems expendable.
