I am considering picking him up for one of my Fantasy teams this week, but SFF has me giving that second thoughts.

Not a terrible idea either. The guy is batting .392 right now with 6 runs, a homer, 7 RBI and a couple bags swiped.

Ugh. Frustrating quick innings for the offense. Looked like Santana was going to be gone by 4-5 innings and now he's on cruise control heading for the 7th or so.

But like someone said, just takes one good inning.

Its unfair to compare Drew to his brother. Its unfair to look solely on his 2011/2012 numbers and injury history.

However, I don't think its unfair to look at his .115 BA and average defensive abilities and ask the real question: Did he need more time to recover from his concussion, and use the very good defensive player currently stashed in the minors.

I think his concussion symptoms rubbed off on Middlebrooks too.

Well Drew had to pass the battery of post concussion tests mandated by the league in order to get back into a uni again.

I do think that a number of folks commented before the season started that Drew was on the slide before his injury and that there was good reason to expect that he would continue on the slide once he got back on the field again post rehab from the ankle. I was not one of them cause I really did not know how I felt about Drew's performance level before the ankle exploded on him. For example, was he nursing some sort of injury that had an impact on his performance before the ankle exploded on him.

Morales, Breslow and Lackey uproot who from the roster? And nothing from Hanrahan. Probably a lot longer.

Wilson, Wright, Webster probably. Maybe a phantom DL trip for Miller as well.

Can Miller make himself vanished forever?

Webster is an extra for the DH, roster get 1 extra guy now.

Poster's Francoeur/WMB reference relevance exposed here. Francoeur is WMB to the power of 3 as far as sliders go.

That's a different question altogether. However, he's been better than average with the glove, albeit in a small sample size.

It's comforting to see that Dempster can keep the Sox in the game without his best stuff and against a very good lineup. At least from my perspective.

LOOGY Logan for the Yankees blew a game. Miller is our version of that guy, except with a quicker hook.

Which is a good thing. Miller often needs a short leash.

He's really not as bad as people were making him out to be in the offseason.

Myself included.

I'm still not fully convinced though. I think he'll eat innings, but i don't he's an upper 3's ERA guy in the AL. We'll see.

Dempster's doing the Dice-K. Don't start pitching until there are guys on, preferably in scoring position. Tap dance in and out of trouble all day. The difference seems to be that Dempster isn't running up the pitch count as profligately as Dice-K. Plus he has better beard (at least in his GameCast pic; no idea what he actually looks like now).

Dempster has been a hair better than his scouting reports so far this season which makes him lightyears better than his harsher criticizers here.

Well that was interesting. Ortiz not pounding around the bases anything like he was last year. I think we have seen the last of that and good riddance. David is not paid to pound around the base paths.

I think we all expected Ortiz to take it slow around the bases.
