Not sure what's unfair about that. That's just the sort of thing that folks should be thinking about in order to determine whether Iggy should be playing.

 

I think he means you can't be sure Iglesias would have had it. He's right.

I am surprised. I thought he was more highly touted than that last year. I read some good reviews on him.

 

Well he's 27 and playing has never played more than 61 games in the MLB.

Sure, I agree with that. It would be unfair if we were all yelling, "Iggy would definitely have had that!", because, as you say, we don't know that. It's not unfair to ask the question.

Trying to pull outside pitches is not a good idea. He was hitting them where they were pitch to, but now he's trying to pull it. And sees a steady diet of off-speed pitches down, still could not adjust and lay off them.

What's your point? It was a nice play. The guy has been impressive this weekend. I am considering picking him up for one of my Fantasy teams this week, but SFF has me giving that second thoughts.

Alex was referring to Drew's range not whether Iggy should be playing. I believe Alex is saying it is a bit unfair to criticize Drew for his range because he is struggling back from a horrendous injury to his ankle. I really thought and commented here that one thing we would have to monitor was his range post injury.

 

I think Alex is a little uncomfortable criticizing Drew when that ankle really did explode on him.

The point is that a lot of people ARE yelling exactly that.

If a pitcher, especially a RH pitcher has the right combination of pitches in his tool chest, he can make WMB look bad all day long. It will be that way until WMB learns to lay off of sliders 6" off the plate for one thing.

They are, but that's not what the original source said. It said (paraphrasing), "It's unfair, but we ask whether or not Iggy would have gotten to a given ball." That's not unfair. But I understand your point.
