Two things

2. Every time he speaks on MLBN, Harold Reynolds reminds me of how criminally stupid he is.

I watched their show earlier, reynolds was trying to say OPS+ didn't mean s***. That and a-rod is the best right handed hitter of all time

How can he be sure which hand A-Rod slaps Jeters' ass with and which one he grabs his hair with?

He also just took a shot at Joey Votto for walking too much. Does he not understand where runs come from?

Gomes DHing against a RHP?

Well that went over like a turd in the punchbowl MJ. I don't think we will see Gomes going against a righty too many more times. I would like to see him start hitting against the lefties though. He, Drew, Middlebrooks, Ciriaco and even Salty when he is not hitting a homer need to get more consistent to help carry the load.

Still we find a way to prevail. Lester didn't seem to have his "A+" stuff tonight but he battled and pitched very well anyway, and that has to be the ticket. Anytime he or Buchholz are on the hill, those are the games we really have to win; won't win all of them but we sure need win the vast majority. Another good night.;);););)

No, the policy has always been that no matter what happened, a loss ends the reign. Besides, I want to get a little streak of my own at some point, so I call next GT. Hopefully not for a while, though, the Sox have a hell of an easy schedule coming up.

Oh please Youk, don't say we have a hell of an easy schedule coming up. You pasta mojo is working fine, don't get the gods angry at us. If the teams we're going to play are not as good as the ones we've been playing, fine. Just let's keep it to ourselves on the board. I do get the impression that this Red Sox team thinks they can beat anyone. I didn't see any thing of the kind with last season's ensemble.

Pray to Koji and he shall strand the inherited runners that make up life's problems.

Loved the way Koji blew away Swisher in the 8th inning BTR, but these umpires. Do they even have a friggin strike zone? They were all over the place tonight and I think they cost Lester a good dozen pitches. Pitching is tough enough without having to work overtime because the guy behind the plate doesn't seem to know what the strike zone is.:thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown

11-4 without Ortiz. His homecoming tomorrow is going to add yet another way for this team to win.

Maybe Palodios. Remember Papi hasn't had too many at-bats this Spring and he's a slow starter to begin with. If he can get off to a decent start, then yes, he will be a great addition to our lineup. What we can't afford is a start for Papi like 2008, 2009 and 2010.

As for Carp I hope he gets some extended at-bats. He might be a diamond for us that we didn't know we had.

May the Yanks and Snakes play a long bullpen-destroying 15 inning game resulting in a Diamondback victory.

Eh, only 12. Oh well, still the same phenomenal outcome!

Game is still in question for tonight, which is not surprising. The important thing is catching this second guy. I obviously do not live in Boston, but I am sure that it is crazy there. Thoughts are with all of you guys that live in the area. Stay safe.
