Please ignore the imposter thread. Tonight, we go for the sweep with Jon Lester ready to kick some native American ass. Get it done.

Hope I'm posting on the legal game thread BTR. Last it seemed the Guardians went into the game as the favorite since they were throwing their ace and we our fill-in starter operating as our No. 5 man. Still Aceves pitched pretty damn good ball for five innings until he ran out of gas in the sixth. I bring that up because tonight it seems we may have the advantage with Jon on the mound, but we had better not take anything for granted. If Lester pitches well and the Red Sox give him solid support we ought to turn in the hat-trick tonight, but we should take nothing for granted. We must not take the Guardians lightly and keep plugging away---one game at a time...right?????

Reverse locks have been prevalent of late. Not sure about this one though. Lester is on track early on to have a career year....finally his career year. He seems very focused...almost too much so. But it is working for him at this point. He seems to me to be the kind of guy that knows what he has accomplished so far and what he could accomplish. I figure he will consider a bad start now squandering the momentum he has built so far. That should be enough to stave off the reverse lock.

Two sweeps in a row would be sick! What better way to do it then Have Lester up to the task. Can't wait!! Work can't end fast enough lol.

Farrell must think that Gomes is just not getting enough AB's and with Ortiz coming back maybe thinks he may even get less unless he can show that he can do something against RH pitchers. In any event Gomes has had very few chances regardless of the pitcher. I suspect Carp showed Farrell everything he wanted to see and he wants to see more of Gomes at this point.

If Carp showed Farrell everything he wanted to see, I think we all wanted to see more of that. :)

I guess the offense came in when you posters did.

I've been watching since the first pitch. Couldn't post b/c I was cleaning all the fk'n pollen off of my patio furniture. Pollen sucks extra bad this Spring.

That's why I'm pretending it's still winter. I have my A/C on and warm pj's.

I hope you realize that if the Sox lose, it's your fault.

Banhammer for mojo violation? Also does BTR get a mulligan on the gamethread if the Sox lose when someone committed a mojo violation?

I hear ya but I love sitting outside.

Come on Lester!

I don't plan on going outside until it snows again.

 I love Spring, part of Summer and Fall. As a Southerner, to me, Winter sucks! :)

Come on offense!

No, the policy has always been that no matter what happened, a loss ends the reign. Besides, I want to get a little streak of my own at some point, so I call next GT. Hopefully not for a while, though, the Sox have a hell of an easy schedule coming up.
