At least at AAA JBJ will see stuff he can hit. Real ML pitching is much harder to hit than ST pitching. JBJ has not hit since the regular season started and is flailing at air more times than not.

 

Once a rookie abandons what worked for them, they're lost. JBJ's approach has always been patience. And in that AB, he was jumpy. Its time to activate Ortiz and send JBJ down

Are we possibly going to see even worse umpiring this year than last? Plays at 1st are supposed to be judged by the sound of the ball hitting the glove combined with the umps view of the batter's foot hitting the bag. Are they deaf and blind this year?

 

i saw the replay .. that looked like a real close bang bang play. at full speed.

No matter how much Hanrahan messed up the Baltimore game, I think he should get the chance today.

It's still early in the season, so better to show him the team has confidence he'll do well, instead of messing him up for the entire year.

In that situation, it's not the runner that's the issue, but the batter. WMB needs to get the job done there.

 

And you try to get some action there because the 7-9 hitters were due up next.

Uehara has been nothing but perfect so far this season.

Shame they decided so strictly he would be a one-inning guy, but then again, better to have his three outs every day, than to have him on the DL.

It was definitely Koji pitching. I guess ESPN mixed up the two Japanese pitchers. lol
