I don't really think the focus in the rotation is on Felix or even Lackey. How much can you expect from your 4 and 5. It is as it was suggested before the season started. We expect Lester to be the horse he has always been. It falls to Buch to go a whole season. Webster is not going to come out of the woodwork and replace Buch.

Felix and lackey don 't need to do too much beyond make their starts. However, if the two of them miss a substantial number of starts and we roll out 2 human forfeits every 5 days (as we have in certain seasons), that would devastate the team's chances.

Figure what? There is nobody else in the system who is a quality reliever. Bard is a mess. That guy from Portland they let slip to the Brewers would be nice to bring up if their interest in Mauro Gomez wasn't such a huge affair to give him a roster spot last fall.

 

Webster already been told he is a June guy at the earliest.
