Yeah, maybe the 'out cycle' - strikeout, groundout, popout, flyout.

There's some positivity. I thought you dirty Canucks were supposed to be nice?

By the way - I was at the game last night until the 5th inning (wife was in a workout class, got hit in the head, concussion, had to take her to the ER). Anyway - I was sitting in the pavilion box seats on the 1B side, and I caught the foul ball that Adam Jones hit on his 1st pitch in the 1st inning.

It was awesome. First foul ball I've ever caught!

Sorry to hear about your wife. I hope she recovers faster than Drew.

Pretty cool catching a foul ball. After all the hundreds of games that I have been to, I have still caught just one foul ball-- Lenny Dykstra hit it while on the Phillies. I put that ball away without spilling a drop of beer. It was impressive in front of my co-workers as we were at a group outing. The nephew of one of my co-workers was sitting in front of me and he kept looking at the ball so I gave it to him. I'm still waiting to catch my second one.

Right. And I assume your cycle comment was meant in jest like mine.

Boy, has Andrew Bailey ever looked this good?? The guy looks like an absolute stud right now *knock on wood*.

Hanrahan will bounce back, I'm not worried about him. One blown save. No problem. Hopefully we have another opportunity for him today to get out there and pump out 3 quick outs, get his confidence back.

Closers are highly over-rated.;)

Will you be making it to Fenway this year?

hahaha I remember some saying that!

Yeah, this going to be the year I must go to fenway. July would be.

Obviously the Red Sox don't have at least two more pitchers capable of closing games.

Let's go out and pay 13 million for a one-inning pitcher!

Some interesting facts after Hanrahan night:

He now walked as many as Uehara did all 2012. 2 Away from tying up with Tazawa.

Allowed more HR than Tazawa (1) in 2012.

Thrown more wild pitch than Tazawa career (0).

I hope that's just a hiccup and won't repeat itself.

Looking forward to Satan pitching tonight.

I'm going to the Yankees series in July, let me know if you go to that series.

Would be awsome Mike, I will let u know.

Koji Uehara stat of the day: Since 2010, Koji has allowed a grand total of 17 BB's compared to a whooping 186 K's in 148 IP for a majestic 10.94 K/BB.

I will try to get to Boston when you guys are there. We should sit have a beer some place. RSFFL, if you are under the drinking age, we'll have a burger instead. Maybe SFF and some others could drop by and say hello too.

That would be great Ted. I'm all in!

That's incredible.

Tazawa is not that far behind in posting absurd K/BB.

As a reliever Tazawa's 7.85K/BB (55/7) is also awesome as hell.

Well here's hoping our hitters are up to the task. I think Aceves will need all the help he can get. But I hope he proves me wrong.

For those who are down on the Sox a bit right now because of the blown save last night - have a look at this stat:

The Red Sox have not won their first 3 series in a season since 1952.

They have a chance to do something tonight that they haven't done in some 60 years.

Stay positive fellas. It's a long season, and this is a damn good team.

Aceves is pitching. Not good. If you look at my signature, you will see a post from a game thread last season and understand why.
