Hindsight is 20-20.... But the way our BP is pitching' date=' if Bobby pulls bard sooner we are tied 1-1 or at worst down 2-1[/quote']

Like I said, please explain where you get anything about the "overall" season performance of the BP in this statement?

Are you quoting myself, or yourself....and if no, who is this directed at?

You know what, f*** it. When you figure out this forum thing, let me know.

So sorry if my " quoting " isn't up to par... As I am on my iPhone' date=' it's just not logical to go though the whole process..... I apologize for my ineptness....??[/quote']

No problem.

Bullpen sucks.

This a very easy team to absolutely hate right now.

No way man.

Every game counts, they even said so on NESN!

He'll come around.

Do you mean Tex, Gonzalez, or both? Because it's pretty silly to say Tex will come around and Gonzo won't considering the downward trend every offensive tool except for power Teixeira has exhibited the last couple of years.

I think they both will. But, I would still rather have Tex. I think he is a better player IMO.

We can agree to disagree on that. Horseface has been declining the past couple seasons. And he's a perennial brutal starter.

I just don't have the strength to go on with this, I have no idea what your talking about... Yes, our bullpen, as a whole- on the season is horrible... Have they been better this last week? Obviously... But none of that has anything to do with my original post and your subsequent response..

You made an argument out of thin air, about something that had 0 to do with what I was talking about, congrats on winning your own argument with your own logic

Mortenson is looking pretty good out there.
Mortensen is not a good pitcher. What he did tonighjust highlights how bad Bard was tonight. These A's stink. Mortensen had 6 k's and even fat Albers had 1 in his two-thirds of an inning. Doubront was all over the place last night and could barely get through 4 innings, but he k'd 8 of the pathetic A's batters and Red Sox pitchers had 14 k's overall in last night's game. So, let's not take this game as evidence that Mortensen is anything other than a bush leaguer who should get a couple of rides on the Pawtucket-Boston shuttle. The fact that the flame throwing Bard only had 1 k and he had no put away pitch against these bums is the story of our pitching tonight. He stunk.

I'm down with to agree to disagree. :)

I could only imagine if we kept Beltre' date=' got Tex, kept V-mart, kept Bay. This team would be even better offensively.[/quote']

AGon is a lot better than Tex, I'd take him any day. Beltre, VMart, and Bay I agree with you on.

Or if we had saved the money and signed a couple of great arms.

We should make a move for Brandon League. Andrew Bailey can be our 8th inning guy when he returns and Aceves can go back to his 2011 role.

Bay? Blegh.

This version of Tex is better than only a few 1bs. It's amazing how a guy who hits for massive power and average can go into a shell over a shift. The funny thing was, he used to be able to hit the ball the other way with power. Teams started employing the shift, and now he pulls absolutely everything into the shift. Now, he doesnt even walk. I am at a loss for what has happened to him

I feel like watching moneyball now.

....because the Sox acted like a poor team this offseason and did nothing to make itself better?
