Simple. Because good posts are not valued here apparently. As soon as i signed up here i was met with accusations of being other posters, insults "Pink-Hat, FO drone" etc etc etc. And ******** from negative douchebags.

 

Before you jump on the insult train (you don't know me, as you said) how about you read some posts and form an opinion?

 

By the way, it's hypocritical to ask for "better behavior" through an insult.

Good posts are valued when you present them in a way that's respectful to other posters. But, as in your case, yours come off as antagonistic, egotistical, and abrasive. You seem to not be able to express your opinions without insulting other's first. If you sign up and are quickly accused of being other posters, insulted, and other things, that usually means you are pissing people off. From what I've seen this is usually a very friendly board, and the only people who get attacked are usually either trolls, idiots, or complete jerks. I'm willing to bet that your time here is numbered, and will be coming to an end soon. If I've made it this long you have no chance.

 

Over the last day or 2, you have lowered yourself from posting legitimate posts(albeit they were inflammatory and antagonistic) to outright trolling. Posts consisting of nothing but mockery. It's childish and pathetic. (the bolded part of my quote is evidence of this) Do you act like this in your day to day life? I sure hope not.

 

You do have good posts and ideas, but the way you present them will make people not even think twice about them. It's a shame.

They're playing the waiting game with the remaining FA's. If Madson's price comes down to a reasonable amount (and it should) they could pounce.

 

It would be a coup for Cher Bear to get Madson at a reasonable price.

It is Boras. But remember that Boras does screw up (Hello Johnny Damon). He didn't take that huge contract the Phillies were offering, and now Madson's market is pretty dry and there's no "mystery team" to be added, because pretty much everyone (including the Angels) has a set closer.

Generally Boras succeeds in getting his clients top dollar. I have no idea how he will do it with Madson, but in the end he will get a hefty deal. Damon was different: he was older and couldn't really play his position well any more. If Madson does fail to get a great deal it will be very very late in the offseason because Borass also engages in brinksmanship on a regular basis.

My bet is whoever signs him will sign him late in January. Boras has no option other than to play the waiting game for a team to get desperate. The question is, which team? The only organization with a clear-cut need for a closer right now is the Red Sox, and they honestly have other options.

If they sign Madson, as a fan I will be very excited, no doubt, in the end, any good player is welcome to improve our team.

 

The thing is, if they give him a large contract (something around Pap's one), IMO, it will not make sense at all, since you already had a better piece in Pap. On the other hand, if they sign him for a reasonable contract, will make sense.

 

As I said several times, Still I preferred Pap, even with the contract he got.
