If we didn't get Trayvon Robinson we got shafted hard then

I kinda agree. Bedard really isn't worth those 3 guys himself with his injury issues.

So the Sox DID get him afterall.

Can Abraham and Edes just have a fight to the death to see who officially gets to tell us what the hell is going on?

3:14pm: Details: the Red Sox get Bedard and outfield prospect Trayvon Robinson. The Dodgers get Tim Federowicz, Juan Rodriguez, and Steven Fife. Joshua Fields and Chih-Hsien Chiang went somewhere. We'll clear it up when possible. Conflicting reports for now.

Kinda goes back to what I said.

Even with his issues, power lefties are worth a ton on the market. If the Mariners DID get Robinson, that just goes to that point.

Right now we're running around headless. Gonna enjoy me some baseball, take a half hour break from deadline talk, and come back when all the shoes have dropped.

So we acquired Bedard and stocked up on prospects? It almost seems as if we were setting up for another deal.

This Robinson guy looks like a prospect somewhere on the caliber between Kalish and Reddick, but a switch hitter. That's not a bad thing to add...

Maybe we'll throw Reddick, Kalish and Robinson at the wall next year and see which one sticks as our starting RF. That would save us some money.

No way lol. Lin is a great fit for eother the M's or the Dodgers, so he kinda had to be in a deal like that, I could see either org buying low on a kid at that age at that level with that amount of talent and plate discipline.

Robinson is a LF/CF. Which means at the big league level he's probably an LF.

3:14pm: We know the Red Sox got Bedard. The rest is still being sorted out, with conflicting reports everywhere.

I woudln't be surprised of all of these prospects being thrown around netted us a lefty reliever or righthanded outfielder.

As soon as we know where Robinson is going, someone let me know.

Seattle was the intuitive place for him to wind up because they're the ones who need big league ready hitters, but if we gave up that much and got nothing but 2 months of Bedard and a squib with no idea where the ball is going, I'm going to be a bit miffed, even if it did just cust us midtier prospects.
