WTF? A report comes out that they won't allow a physical and the Guardians pony up another player?

 

This is so backwards.

 

The report was that the Yankees were pissed because they didn't get the physical they wanted. It has nothing to do with the interest that the Guardians had. I bet they want this deal very badly.

See, that is the kind of move I could see the Yanks doing. Surprised we arent in on that. A guy like Harden or Bedard is all we really need. We have a rotation right now that is 5th in the AL in ERA and 1st of any AL team outside of the AL West (which is really a National League division offensively). If we got a high upside guy who could be a #2 if healthy, then that's all we need

Billy Beane may have a reputation for being shrewd and the whole Moneyball thing (big fan, here) but he makes some weird moves. I suspect he will give up Harden for a few players we care NOTHING about.
