My goodness' date=' Fausto Carmona really stinks. He gets blown out in every start.[/quote']

I wish he would retire.

Nelson Cruz had a 3-2 count' date=' took a ball, and stayed at the plate. Nobody noticed it was ball four. He struck out two pitches later.[/quote']

Gameday doesn't show it. They show a 3-2 count, then foul-pickoff attempt-foul-swinging strike. What happened?

I went back to watch it again, there were definitely 4 balls. The FOX announcers said the same thing. The count was 3-2, he threw a ball inside, nobody moved, he fouled off a pitch then struck out. Don't know how nobody caught it.

Heck of a duel between Kershaw and Weaver. Just the kind of baseball you love to watch as a neutral fan.

I finally watched the video. It was way, way inside. Almost 'clip on the elbow' inside. He had kind of an akward check swing. If I had to guess, because of the angle the catcher caught the ball and the way Cruz checked his swing, I'd say that the umpire, catcher, and batter all thought it was a foul tip and just collectively forgot there were already two strikes, maybe because of the extra time the at-bat took because he lost his bat on the first pitch.

I hate interleague play. It's pointless, but it does get fun sometimes. Ever seen CC Sabathia hit? He's too fat to.

CC is actually a pretty good hitter.

The NL needs to use the DH. I was so pissed about it after Sunday's game that I got a headache

The Cubs coming from behind twice in extra innings and leave the Giants on the ground with a Homer by Soto in the 13th, exciting ball game!

I can't believe Pittsburgh is only two games out, in second place, this late in the season. Who saw this coming? I mean, I know they're going to crash to Earth eventually, but at this point in the season who didn't expect them to be in a heated battle for sixth with Houston?

I thought they had the arms and offensive talent to play .500 ball this year. They can't hit, but fortunately for them the rest of baseball entered the deadball era. They are probably good for 78-82 wins.

How 'bout Wily Mo hitting the walk off 2 run bomb for Arizona tonight? Glad to see him back in the bigs and doing well.

He's still hitting bombs, but he still hasn't a clue about the strike zone. 12 K's, 0 walks.
