Will the Yankees and/or Red Sox Be in on Pujols if he hits FA?

If so, where do they play him?

The Red Sox Will Prolly Not if he hits FA. The Sox have 1B filled and as a DH he would be a very High Paid DH. He is too good Defensively to just DH.

Someone contact the Maine State Police. Send them to Dojji's to prevent self inflicted wounds.

I don't get why you guys are so friggin' stubborn about this whole Lowrie issue. He will have the opportunity to win the starting SS job, but he has to earn it, and the article does nothing to dispel that notion.

The FO obviously sees something we don't, as does Tito, but even then, they're not discarding the possibility in the least. Why is it such a problem that he may have to win the job? The team owes him nothing, and everyone else has had to work and show they deserve the roles they have, so why should he get a free pass?

It's also misleading of you to say that he could only see time at SS, since the entire friggin' infield is either post-surgical or coming off injury, so he'll get plenty of AB's to go around if he does start the season as the Utility man.

Jesus Christ, the guy is not the next Derek Jeter or Hanley.

Wasnt Tito quoted yesterday or today saying that there is no positional battle, that Scutaro was their starting SS?

Pretty cut and dry.

According to Scouting Book for 2011, Sox don't have a player in the 50. Yankees only have Montero in top 141.

Sox do have-

51- Lars Anderson

52- Josh Reddick

54- Jose Iglesias

57- Micheal Bowden

72- Bryce Brentz

94- Anthony Ranaudo

120- Drake Britton

Yankees-

142- Austin Romine

146. Andrew Brackman

So in the Top 150- Sox 7 Yankees 3.

Surprised at the Napoli deal.

Wonder if the Sox were ever even considering him? He would have been a huge upgrade over Salty and Tek offensively, and probably could have helped Lackey settle in a little more.

Napoli and Juan Rivera going to Toronto.

Nice trade by AP. Wells I think can be decent with a change of scenery. Not sure he will ever be worth what he is paid. But I guess LAA's owners get's to say he added a big contact this off season. Will be interested to see how much $ is swapping hands.

What are the players being ranked on? I feel like most people thought Lars, Reddick, and Bowden were pretty much at their peak and not likely to become starting major leaguers (although it's possible the first two could still improve a bit, but I think that Bowden has pretty much reached his limit).

This is a good trade for Sox fans. Say what you will about his bloated contract but Vernon Wells is a perennial Sox Killer. I'll miss seeing him play so often, but I'm glad that he's gone from the AL East.

The Sox don't have anyone in their system who will make an impact with the big club before 2013. Someone has quoted this in their signature. It will be proven right.

Angels will have a very good fielding OF with Wells and Hunter.

Rays have signed Damon and Manny.
Their offense should be pretty potent. I guess Manny and Damon will share LF and DH. If they had kept Garza, they would have had a solid rotation too. Their bullpen has been decimated. The rotation will be okay if Hellickson can emerge as a big time starter.

Earlier in the Day I heard that Damon would be the LF and that Manny would be the DH.

We get Wheeler and Crawford, they get Manny and Damon. How about next year, why don't they give us Longoria, and they can sign Mike Lowell?

Toronto and the Rays are both gonna be solid this year.

Why do an aging Manny and Damon make TB solid?

Chances are Manny will screw up whatever Maddon has going on down there. Manny Ramirez goes against everything that Maddon preaches and stands for.

These moves dont make them a better team. These moves were done to try to generate attendence.

Remember the last time TB bulked up with aging stars?

Jose Canseco, Fred McGriff, Vinny Castilla, Greg Vaughn

They've lost Garza, Crawford, Soriano and Wheeler and replaced them with 2 aging sideshow circuses. They are a lot worse today than they were at the end of the 2010 season.
