One of his coaches got tossed' date=' probably for arguing balls and strikes.[/quote']

In the second inning? That's one way to get a day off I guess.

Alright, early chance offensively to break out and really take a firm hold of this game.

EDIT: What a horrible send by Rob Thompson with no one out, even though he might have been safe. No reason to take that risk.

EDIT 2: Good call, he was out.

Johnson would've been better off staying at 3rd, his lack of speed puts him at high risk to be throw out on a base hit when running from 2nd base

What a big inning for the O's. They throw out Nick Johnson at home, strike out Cano on a ball in the dirt and then get Swisher to pop up to escape a bases loaded, no one out situation while only giving up one run.

Now Andy tries to be too fine and walks in a run. 3-1 game.

I'm kind of surprised a hitter hasn't sit on his curve on the first pitch yet.

Wow, that was odd. What a terrible decision by Tejada, although I guess he held it because he didn't want to throw to the second basemen on the run. This is the nice thing about playing the O's I guess.

Yeah, they'll give the opposing team plenty of chances.

Not sure I really understand the intentional walk here. If you're the opposing team you're probably just as scared of Cano right now as you are of A-Rod, not more scared. Additionally, why put more potential runs on base?

And that's probably the game. The O's should have been out of the inning with the game at 3-1 but some bad defense lead to 3 more runs.

Actually, interesting point by someone on the River Avenue Blue's live chat. It's possible that they're using this as an opportunity to stretch out Mitre, in case he is moved into the starting rotation. Either way, I'm very curious to see what Joe has to say about this.

Back to back, and uh....belly to belly. (which is really f***ing gay, if you think about it, which is actually fitting that it comes from Sterling)

Just an absolutely awful job by Logan. He has no place on this team, because of his awful command.

Now, with the way Wigginton is swinging the bat, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if he beats the Yankees here. It's one thing to hold Mo after he pitched a good BP when you have Joba available, but without him out there, the risk is too great.

Works out. I'll take it. Definitely worried about Robertson though.

We sent down the wrong reliever. Robertson had a he'll of a 2009, but he doesn't have blowaway stuff. If his command is off, he isn't useful. He needs to

work on some things. Wouldnt surprise

me to see Robertson optioned, Javy DL'd with Hirsch and Melamcon coming up

I believe I said it his last time out that it's not the smartest idea to have a 38 year old throw 120 pitches every time out. Not everyone on the Yankees staff is CC Sabathia.
