Yeah, he's made 2 bad pitches tonight. The hanger to Bautista and the sinker that didnt sink to Escobar. Other than that, the balls that went through have been dribblers. He gets a ton of groundballs and he's around the plate. I am more impressed with him than I was as a prospect. The way he pitches, I dont think he'll ever be an ace. But he has good stuff and is around the plate. He reminds me a bit of CMW

This home plate ump has been horrible. He has a disappearing outside corner. Meaning, he calls it when he wants to, it has no rhyme or reason. Sometimes its there, sometimes it isnt. Man he sucks

I f***ing love this kid. Homerun from Bautista' date=' next AB he goes under the chin, then walks towards him as Bautista is mouthing off. f***ing awesome[/quote']

you would like that. i'm sure you like when joba throws at people's heads too, it seems like something you'd do if you played baseball

7 baserunners in 5.1IP. 1 of them was a blown call by the ump, 1 was an infield single, 1 was a walk, 2 were dribblers up the middle. Only two balls were hit well. Good start for the kid

When I pitched, I definitely used all quadrants of the zone, including up and in. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Actually, I encourage it. Anything to make the batter uncomfortable

I encourage using all aspects of the strike zone, even those high and tight out of the zone. And the reason, well, that's how baseball is supposed to be played and how it used to be played before these guys became good buddies. Your job is to win. If you can put fear in the hitter's mind, then it will help you win. If a batter doesnt have to worry about being hit, then he can creep and cheat out over the plate.

you encourage... who? do you yell it to the yankees players through the tv?

I think I only intentionally hit 3 or 4 people when I pitched, and I think all but one hit the guy in the butt. But I would definitely throw the ball eye level to a batter who dug in too much, but I wouldnt try to hit them. You never throw it behind the hitter's head, because the natural reaction is to back up and you'll back right into it. But throwing it above the head or in front of the head is message enough

That's how I played and that's how I'll teach my kids to play once they are old enough to actually control where they throw the ball.

Jose Bautista must be juicing' date=' dominican player with a career high 16 home run's suddenly jumping to 40?[/quote']

i don't mean to blow your mind or anything, but EVERYONE is juicing

for the 11th time in their last 22 games. i'm starting to think baseball's rigged

The grounder to Nunez that "pulled Tex off the bag" directly led to a run.

And Girardi not pitching around Bautista who has absolutely killed us this yr directly cost us all the runs. His avg vs NY this yr is .375 and he's hit 6 homers.

congress should look into this. this kind of stuff never happens to anyone but the yankees
