Did the point just sail over your head? The double standard is usually accepted' date=' and guys don't bitch about it, because they're comfortable being heterosexual. I've called a s*** ton of chicks good looking, I think the chick who works behind the counter at the coffee shop during days if a hotty, and most guys don't just accept the double standard, they condone it.[/quote']

Yeah it pretty much did. that happens a lot as you have noticed before.

Faggotry is serious business.

And you just want Hanley because he's handsome and you'd totally let him smack a double in between your fielders

Or hit home run into your upper deck

Pick up Gonzo's option for 2010 and re-evaluate the Sox options at SS after the offseason. We are really just fine having Gonzo at SS, his defense is superb, and when he plays in a winning environment his bat seems to pick up. I think he could hit .240-.250 next year with the Red Sox and he actually does a have a little pop in his bat. If we improve our lineup this offseason we can live with Gonzo batting ninth.

Agreed. Maybe we'll get lucky and he will bat .260 next year.;)

We've got a better crack at landing Maicer Izturis, should we decide we want him.

Personally, I do. He gets on base, switch hits, has respectable pop for a SS, steals bases, and is an average to slightly above average defender at SS. He's kind of wasted in the utility role he's pushed into in Anaheim. It's just his bad luck to be on the same team as Erick Aybar, who's a lot better defensively. Personally, to me that means that here is a trade opportunity.

Personally, I've wanted Izturis since 2006 and was arguing for him instead of Lugo. I think history bears me out.

Izturis would probably get exposed playing a full season at SS. There's a good reason he hasn't been given a shot at the position in Anaheim, and my guess is that's it.

And my guess it has more to do with Orlando Cabrera and Erick Aybar playing ahead of him. You might be right though.

On the other hand, Lowrie and Izturis could probably share SS duties without either getting exposed. Worth a thought.

In the Lowrie/Izturis as a platoon scenario, it makes much more sense. The question is whether Anaheim would be inclined to trade him, he does a fantastic job as a role player for them.

Or how about:

- fist one up the middle?

- drill one into his power alley?

- drop one in his gap?
