I was torn between Desmond Jennings and Aaron Cunningham as a way to start my MiLB picks, but after careful investigation, i realized Jennings could develop into the speed/power combo i need for my future CF.

Changing my roster up a bit.

Lowrie to 3B

Wood to Minors

(once my final rosters are set this will be subject to change - but this way I can also draft more MLB-ready talent).

the ML spots are for guys who have minor league options left, since Davis was optioned with being DFAed, yea I'd say he can be an MLer

Well, I took Bannister. I guess it would be disingenuous to say last night's start didn't help me make that call, but I'd had my eye on him as a possible value pick for awhile now.

NO IM STILL FIRED UP!

then make your f***ing pick

I'll admit I'll start losing interest once I only have MLers to pick but I've stayed committed throughout and I will continue to do so

Football would be a nightmare. More than twice the rounds.

It'd have to be really exclusive, members-wise (like 8 guys), with a strict pick limit, in order to work. Maybe only draft a first team, second team, and six utility guys on each side of the ball to make 28 rounds.

Sorry guys. I haven't lost interest - I just usually check back on the thread and look for my name to be posted "on the clock", and I didn't see it nor remember I picked after Gom.

Anyway, I'm pretty pleased being able to get a pitcher as reliable as Aaron Cook this far into the draft.

So I would assume doing the same thing for football is not likely to be well received?

Count me in as someone who would enjoy a football one.

I'd mock Phil Coke, but then you look at his numbers:

53 IP

34 H

18 BB

.943 WHIP

7.6 K/9

2.7 K/BB

Those are really solid numbers no matter how you slice it.

Yeah, I didn't have another lefty in the bullpen besides Wilson, and at this point in the draft, my knowledge of individual players is severely lacking. I went with what I know.

Not to bash, but his .206 BABIP and 4.56 FIP are kind of a turn-off.

Does his 1.63 FIP from last year count for anything?

He's the last guy out of y228's pen. You could do a lot worse than Phil Coke.

He's good value at this point of the round.

I was just pointing out the fact that he's been quite overrated this year.

Went with Jermaine Dye, he's a little older than some of the other players I've picked, but he can provide RHH pop off my bench.

I'm at the point of the draft where I'm pretty much picking BPA. I'll find ABs for Dye in my lineup.
