Missed Romo being picked, anyways:

Lowrie will be my utility infielder, capable of playing SS, 2B, and 3B. Career .800 OPS in the minor leagues, I figure if he comes close to that with his position flexibility he can be a real asset.

McClellan is a solid pick. I was going to go with him in the next round.

Needed a utility player. Mark Teahen fits the bill. Can play both corner outfield positions, a little center field, third base, first base, and a little second base. Plus, he's only 27, so he should be entering his prime.

Beckham belongs to Peoria Distillers I believe. There is a T. Beckham in one of his Minor league spots.

Harper is a legitimate pick.

Too bad he'll only be 21 at the end of five years.

Although I agree with you, the kid has been said to be the best baseball prodigy since A-Rod. Which could see him in the ML very young. So Jacko could get some value from him. But he could flame out as well, that's a risk we all take with every pick. It's better then all his damn Yankee picks anyway LOL.

Hasty pick, was too lazy to do any research and I believe I have hit my maximum for minor leaguers.

I'm doomed anyways, I won't have the best team now, 2 years from now, or 5 years from now.

Kilo, can you add R. Trancoso to my BP. No rush though. Just when you have a chance. Thanks in advance.

With the Butler-Overbay platoon I'm a bit light at 1B. While Ka'aihue is a bit of a late bloomer, I think he's going to develop into a solid power hitter if the Royals ever get their heads out of their posteriors and give the guy some actual playing time.

For the record, if you go searching for the guy there are two Ka'aihue's in the minors, Kila, the Royals prospect, and Kala with the Braves. I think they're brothers. FWIW, Kala is also interesting and might make the majors at some point but is struggling this year Kila though is killing the baseball and has no business still being in the minors at all IMHO, especially for a power starved team like KC..

Wilson adds depth to my team. In my opinion, the two most important defensive positions are catcher and shortstop. I now have backups for both. If I had one more bench slot, I would have picked up someone who can steal a base on command. I'll just have to get some fast Minor Leaguers.

Romero is a very young pitcher who is experiencing quite a bit of success this season. He's probably been the best pitcher in baseball over the last month:

Ricky Romero last six games:

42.3 IP, 30 H, 9 ER, 14 BB, 40 K

1.91 ERA, 1.04 WHIP

Pelfrey will move to the bullpen as my long man.

He's due for a regression. His bb/9 is a full point under his minor league levels in his first big league season. That is rarely sustained without a correction or a bit of adversity.

That said, looks like a talented lefthanded pitcher who's more than worth a pickup at this stage in the draft. Where do the Jays keep getting them?
