Of course it changes over the years. But currently the AL has a clear advantage.

The funny thing to me, I guess, is how if I go to a fan forum for a 'top' NL team forum, it'll be full of posts how the AL sucks and how they're wimps because they coddle their pitchers and on and on. That's all I'm saying.

Guardians had 5 errors tonight, 2 of them was from jhonny, not going to worry about it till next year when we get victor and thome back.

I'd guess that's because of the DH rule' date=' not the severe talent difference.[/quote']

Thats got to be a major factor, just think about how good the Phillies would be if Howard was the DH and they had a middle of the road 1B, that lineup would be unbelievable.

?????

im sorry my friend I just dont see your Guardians getting either one of those players, and in all honesty its probably a good thing for you to enter the rebuilding phase instead of spending big bucks on older players.

Agreed, Cleveland got a nice haul in the Martinez and Lee trades. Besides, Martinez's option will be exercised for 2010 and Thome doesn't make any sense.

Also, whatever happened to Adam Miller? Is he still regarded highly in the system?

Yes' date=' that's why they never win a World Series.[/quote']

The 2006 Cardinals, who were the worst team in the playoffs, won it all that year.

The playoffs are a crapshoot, and your statement is a pretty ignorant one.

I'll say it again:

The NL is a f***ing joke.

No you won't.

Even NL team fans recognize that right now, the AL is the superior league.

And that is mostly due to teams having better overall pitching title plus the DH.

Please stop making stuff up.

Again:

The NL is a joke.

Miller was your #1 prospect from 2005 to 2008.

I think hes # 3 or # 4 when laporta and brantley came in.

Posted
Either way, he's been in AAA since 2006, does he still have a future with the team?

EDIT: Reconstructive surgery on his finger. Ah.

I think he will be in the MLB roster on opening day in 2010.

I will post a lineup i think is good afterschool.

I'm sorry my creepy, :) ignorant posts apparently bothers you so much, but I won't apologize for my personality, writing style, or personal experiences that have equated to differing observations or opinions than yours - as well as many others here, perhaps.

No you won't.

Even NL team fans recognize that right now, the AL is the superior league.

So I suppose you've been to every bar, business, every forum & social networking system on the internet, or somehow can read minds across any distance and thus KNOW exactly how all fans think or would respond? Kudos to you.

I have heard NL fans say stuff like that. Not ALL of them, not even close, that would be ludicrous to claim, but I have heard/seen it enough to have felt safe in making that statement.

Please stop making stuff up.

1-I'm a fairly easy-going soul, especially for places like this where heated silliness is the norm, but your subjective rash statements in an effort to put my own subjective opinions down is beginning to disturb my calm. Your reading comprehension of my recent posts seems to also be fairly low, or else you might've realized that there's some self-depreciating "I know opinions can be subjective and it amuses me" humor/irony tone to my posts, rather than me claiming "This is FACT, nyah nyah!"

2-Your style, at least in regards to me, reminds me of Monty Python's "I'd Like to Buy an Argument" sketch. It does nothing to convince me that I'm "wrong" or encourage me to listen, which is the inherent flaw with using such discussion techniques. I have no issue at all w//admitting that my subjective observations, on any topic, at any time, may be or is wrong, if given enough measurable and observable evidence to the contrary. Unfortunately, "you're ignorant" and "everybody knows that, u dork!" type of responses doesn't exactly equal that, does it...

3-I appreciated the few names you gave me in that other thread, that's what I like. It helps me gather more data of my own to further base my opinions on - although that doesn't always translate into changing my original speculation. ;)

But if you aren't going to give me actual data (or at least make funny jokes...), and your only other response style is akin to an angry 8 year old who doesn't like what someone is saying, then why should I continue to listen?

Edit: PS - mods, I almost put this as a separate thread in the anything goes fora but changed my mind. If you think it belongs there, go ahead and split it off. :)

Lineup I was talking about before.

1.grady (needs no last name)

2.peralta

3.laporta

4.choooooo

5.valbuena

6.miller

7.brantley

8.thome

9.Toregas or if victor comes back he moves up to 3rd and laporta moves to 6

Posted

8.thome

Why Thome? It doesn't make much sense for Guardians to sign him.

9.Toregas or if victor comes back he moves up to 3rd and laporta moves to 6

I'm pretty sure Victor's option will be picked up by Boston and he'll probably end up signing an extension as well. I don't see either Thome or V-mart headed back to Cleveland.

Posted
I don't think Thome even wants to go back to the Guardians. The fans still boo him every time he plays in Cleveland.

Don't make it personal. Stop playing the victim. We've been having this argument for the last few days and i haven't disrespected you.

I'm pretty sure i'm around a couple more baseball fans. Every knowledgeable baseball fan either from the AL or the NL i know admits the AL is the stronger league. Not to mention a lot of sportswriters and whatnot.

I can back that up if necessary.

Can you?

Now they're "subjective opinions"?

Fantastic.

Then stop the "subjective assumptions"

Never called you ignorant, called the post ignorant. Again, the victim act, stop it.

Yet you attack me for debating your "subjective opinion" in an actually pretty civil manner.

Who's the angry 8 year old?
