Recap.

 

Yankee offense was filthy against a hot shot kid who is coming off a pretty good rookie campaign. ARod is unreal right now. Giambi is breaking out. Every hitter had a hit. Josh Phelps is hitting well also, and is making a push to be the regular 1b.

 

Igawa was NASTY. His curveball and change were on today and he located all over the zone. He had a rough 3rd inning, but cam through after that and the game was easy for him from there. Against a solid lineup, this guy showed he belongs.

 

The pen held the Guardians to 0 runs in 3 innings again. Solid victory.

If the Sox don't win 2 out of 3 with their top three going against the Yankees Wiffle ball pitchers, I will laugh myself silly.

pretty good. His curve is hit or miss, but when he is missing, he is missing out of the zone. He is a little wild with the 2 seamer, but only one has been hit hard.

BTW, WIDE zone today for the ump. Rasner is using it well.

lost in this is that Torre intentionally burned out our pen before the sox series. What a douche. 84 pitches through 4.1IP sucks, but why the hell pull him after a 1 out single? That guarantees 4.2IP of relief. Rasner was pitching in and out of trouble all game, I just dont get Torre sometimes. Now a guy like Vizcaino is tired from having a poor outing, Farns is unavailable for tomorrow and our best long man had to go today. Really annoyed at Torre for that. I thought Rasner was pitching well enough to fight through 5+, maybe 6.

I see a 6-3 game with 2 outs and 2 strikes on Posada and I leave and 30 minutes later this. Oh well at least the bullpen is burt after todays game. AROD's April heroics continue, lets see if this happens in Sept. and Oct.
