The way his Sox career ended sucked, but I don't have any issues with Beckett, he was a key contributor to a world series winning team. Hard to hate a dude who helped you win a championship, regardless of what else he does.

As a fan, I witnessed two of his games at Fenway where he unapologetically gave up 6 runs in the first inning. Thanks for 2007, but Beckett GFY Edited by Palodios

No team has ever pitched back to back no hitters

Got fairly close though interestingly enough:

No team has thrown no-hitters in consecutive games, although it has happened once on consecutive days: On May 5, 1917, Ernie Koob of the St. Louis Browns no-hit the Chicago White Sox, and teammate Bob Groom repeated the feat in the second game of a doubleheader the following day.

Boo hoo hoo.

Kershaw should trow more games like this to justify his crazy contract.

I'm glad that the Sox don't spend this way.

To get another Pedro on this team I would pay it.

If it wasn't for a Hanley Ramirez error it would have been a perfect game

Fk'n Hanley! That pissed me off. So wish I had seen the game! Yay Clayton!

For the 2nd year in a row Lincecum has no hit the Padres. Lincecum at the plate also went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. lol

That was sweet! YAY!!!!!

So someone other than Lincecum and Bumgarner is putting together a piece of magic. Chris Heston only has 2 HBP through 8.

Here's the story of my fantasy baseball life: Heston is pitching well. I pick him up. He pitches like crap. I drop him. He throws a no-no.

Hope not and I doubt it.
It would be a pleasure to watch a player of his quality toe the rubber for us after the horrible garbage that we have seen. Plus, we need a big pitcher for next season.

I'm okay with that IF he is not the only big name starter that the Sox get.

Also, I don't want to loose trade pieces now that we could use later. Especially if more SP talent will "only" cost money in the post season.

I won't cry if the Sox get him now. I would just prefer someone like Cueto or Price.

Two things:

1. Pitching a no-no for the league's worst team six days before the deadline is an indication of just how much Hamels wants out... It will certainly intensify the slobbering over him

2. Those two catches by Herrerra looked like a play I would make, except I wouldn't slip. I would just lay out, even if I didn't need to.

Hisashi Iwakuma is in the books against the O's. Good thing he's not pitching this weekend at Fenway.

I always find the uptick or increased focus of the defense interesting when a pitcher has a no-no going.

Would this be considered "clutch" defense?
