That PK call at the end of the first half was a joke, and the refs have been a joke all tournament.

What crap from the USA. Their heads got way too big after the last WC and it showed as they got outplayed most of the tourney. That BS PK in stoppage time in the first half was just stupid. It def shifted the game as Ghana was happy to sit and play D the rest of the way--however great teams can overcome things like that. The fact that Arena keeps blaming the ref is just dumb,,,he coached like crap. Why in the world are we playing a 1-5-4 when we need 2 goals in the 2nd half, and bringing in convey and johnson was too little too late. McBride couldn't get free all tourney becuase they were all over him, when we actually bring in another guy (convey, johnson, ect...) then he was freed up for more strikes.

 

 

We played like crap, no emotion, players out of position, players confused --for the whole WC! Arena is done as head coach for the USA and he knows it!

Frankly the U.S. doesn't have a "star", that can make things happen. Just about every team that's advanced has at least one...Ballack (even though he's meh so far), Ronaldinjo, Figo, etc.

 

Look, if we took soccer seriously (so to speak) and didn't have other sports to detract from it, like baseball, basketball, football, we'd be putting out a pretty good team every time. But seeing as the U.S. already has a monopoly on the Olympics, it's probably better to let the rest of the world not to have another reason to hate us and have their "futbol".

For some reason, I really got into the World Cup this year. It's a shame that our guys were so outplayed AND OUTCOACHED. The effort that was shown by the players was disgusting, but the system they were in wasn't helping.

I want to get into the World Cup, but I have a hard time overlooking the flop with fake injury. These guys are the biggest skirts in the world. They are so bad, they are worse than the NBA. That's saying something.
