  1. UNC dipshit: Okay so one would think he'd shut the f*** up after Duke lost... NO:
  2. Kenny Rogers is a cheater. Game 6, with maybe Carpenter on short rest (and he threw only 82 pitches in 8 innings), let's see if Rogers gets served.
  3. The Tigers are coming apart at the seams.
  4. Game 1: Verlander v. Reyes Game 2: Rogers v. Weaver Game 3: Robertson v. Carpenter Game 4: Bonderman v. Suppan Verlander will most likely outduel Reyes and Weaver - I dare not take a breath. But I can't root for Kenny Rogers and Pudge "I-lost-25-lbs-the-winter-post-steroids scandal" Rodriguez. Hopefully Carpenter will BRING it and Pujols has to be more productive. Meh, Cardinals in six.
  5. Wow, Wainwright striking out Beltran (Cardinals killer) looking with the bases loaded. Doesn't get any sweeter than that. Chavez just saved Willie for a couple of innings and leaving Heilman in was probably the better decision since Wagner would've choked anyways.
  6. Well wasn't everyone surprised that the Mets couldn't finish out the depleted Cards? Is Yadier Molina the only player that isn't hurt or useless, Spiezio and Taguchi notwithstanding? Anyways, I hope they make it at least a five game series and not completely roll over like in '04...
  7. Now the Cardinals are in the best situation having Carpenter close out the series. Jeff Weaver in New York just conjures up nightmares. John Schuerholz must be kicking himself for sending Ray King, Jason Marquis and the very promising Adam Wainwright to STL in '04.
  8. Wikiality!
  9. Oh, cool, Memorial Stadium is the third largest "city" in NE on game days. They will even show up in droves for the spring scrimmage - WE'RE PLAYING OURSELVES! I think it's not unfair to expect Nebraska to win the miserable Big 12 North. y/n?
  10. Had hoped he wasn't the Yankees' version of Kerry Wood, but who knows. And at least Wood has the benefit of the doubt that he could be something without the injuries.
  11. Nose scrunch. YES. I don't think Mussina threw Rodriguez under the bus, more like he didn't exactly help him avert it. When asked if A-Rod's error opened the doors or something along those lines, Mussina basically didn't disagree and said he didn't know what was going on but A-Rod needs to step it up. It was said out of frustration, and Mussina definitely showed he's behind A-Rod later.
  12. I can't fault him if he wanted to leave, but I also would be surprised to see him "quit". It would reinforce everything he's been criticized for, particularly his mentality, so he will, at least I hope, stay. Sometimes he digs his own grave, but perhaps even that is a product of the unfair and unfortunate circumstances he's had to face. Not that I pity him or whatever. Meh, take the money and RUN.
  13. Yay! I love those two (and Miller's ok). Maybe it's "research" for their next film? Hanks, Howard pay visit to GABP THERE'S NO CRYING IN BASEBALL.
  14. I'd like to see that. The Twins still have to prove the Yankees don't own them in the postseason.
  15. Welllllllll you shouldn't have to and it is oxymoronic to call a $200 mil+ team "scrappy", but yeah, always get a kick out of that one.
  16. One other thing, I was at this M-a-W orientation and the organizer told some stories about some of the celebs who really make it happen, and she made a passing comment about there are others who don't return calls or whatever. She had the most disgusted look on her face when she said Lance Armstrong's name, which REALLY is surprising, imo. :dunno:
  17. Cameron Diaz looks like the Joker. And LOL @ the Paris Hilton comment, so true.
  18. Well, see, that's just it. The kid could just stick an ice pick in some sour grapes and more or less it's would be the same thing.
  19. Haha, the narrator on the Roger Clemens' one was like, "Clemens even showed [the kid] some of his secrets to pitching, so secretive that he doesn't want our cameras to come too close."
  20. Surreal. Beckham's ejection in '98 doesn't even compare.
  21. ...but they are the one that buys the tickets...so, that's all that matters. Home-field is absurd, though.
  22. So you're saying that other sports don't have questionable attempts to gain an advantage? All officials call what they see, so sell it brother, sell it. As for why penalties after 120 minutes...it's really 120 minutes. Give me athlete that plays "American" sports who can still stand after that. Oh, shoot, but then again, why am I defending a game only Commies play?
  23. In defense of floppers We should get Klinnsman. He's fun, offensive-minded when we SO needed that in this tournament, and most importantly he expects a lot out of his players. And since he lives in the U.S., the commute is much more favorable.
  24. Wow, I wasn't sold on Lehmann, but there's not a case against a guy who saved two PKs. Hope to see more vintage Zidane, and please, no more video of David Beckham dry heaving.
  25. Was it 22 bottles of Cristal on the plane? GEEZ.
