But the FIFA rankings are shite. USA's 5 I believe. That's overrating if I've ever seen it.

Italy's defense is better than the Czech Republic (if there was a weakness to exploit, that was it). At this point they'd better win both games and hope that Italy-CR is a draw to have a good chance of advancing.

 

On another note, love the acting...the feigned expressions of pain even when it's a clean slide. Glad the refs don't fall for it.

i dont think Italy's D is better than the Czechs it is probly about the same. Ghana got great penetration today.

The Czech's arent that good, the US was just unorganized and was controlling the ball terribly

Czechs are a good side but I wasn't expecting 3-0. It looks tough for USA now because I just watched Italy and they looked great in the first half. They were my pick for the final and they looked like they could do well based on today's evidence.

 

USA need to throw caution to the wind and just go for it against Italy later in the week.

No I think we can beat Ghana easily enough. What I'm more worried about is of Italy not being able to beat the Czechs. Tough game there.

I think we can beat Ghana, but i am not sure about Italy beating the czechs! That game yesterday was terrible---how do we get stuck with a ref that has had previous corruption/suspension issues? The only thing worth a redcard was the McBride elbow---I think the ref sucked for both sides (obviously more for the USA ) What was hillarious is that the ref made the offsides/interference call on McBride when Beasly scored---when that is the side judges call and they didn't call anything. (it was a good call, just funny that he made the call when it wasn't his to make) You know you have a problem when you are watching the WC and what is on the front of your mind is what the ref will do next------you don't notice a good ref! I just hope that he didn't screw up the US's chances at the 2nd round.

We can beat Ghana because their 2 goal scorers are suspended for this game I believe. The US looked good against Italy. They can win that game.

Ghana has speed, but the U.S. needs goals. They've attempted the least shots of any team and if it wasn't for that Italian, still probably wouldn't have a point.

 

France was robbed. Nice scoop there.
