I don't remember being swept by the worst team in baseball or DOMINATED by Tampa Bay last year, either. Since when is second place GOOD ENOUGH for you guys? You also can't compare us in second last year to you in second this year, because you are playing horrible and you look like you'd get knocked out in the ALDS if you were to make the playoffs this year. Last year people really thought the Sox had a good shot at the World Series the way they were playing... do you think you have a shot at the World Series the way you're playing?

Uhh, like to keep this AL East thing going, but the AL West has some serious contenders in the Angels and the A's. So it's hard to go 1-2 in whatever order this year.

About the farm system...seems like Cash is intent on keeping the core prospects. GOOD. So I dunno if we'll see Jeter-Pettitte-Rivera-Posada part deux soon, IF EVER, but it's worth a shot.

 

That would explain why we can't get any "good" deals, without trading away whatever lingering prospects still remaining.
