yes those select few along with rookie robinson cano i have respect for as people

Cano has big things in his future. Big, big things. Unlike our second attempt at the "Cano magic", Melky Cabrera who won't amount to anything except being traded for Eric Byrnes.

If he learns some plate discipline, he may as well be the next Rod Carew. But if pitchers throw him more changeups he's toast until he learns on how to lay of on them.

I'm never going to call him the next Rod Carew until he puts of a Carew-like season. But right now he projects to be a good .300+ hitter with around 20 homeruns every year, which from the second base spot is outstanding.

It's true what any level-headed Sox or Yankee fan is saying. Alot of baseball to be played. As a Yankee fan, I'm not feeling so self-assured about us winning the division, yawn, again. That aside, anyone who thinks the Yankees suck or the Sox suck or A-Rod is gay for Johnson or Johnny Damon is gay must be insane. That said, yes, it's true you Sox fans had your one little moment of glory last year. That will probably be it in your lifetimes. But the Yankees greatness has been so sustained that I can't help but laugh at the Red Sox fans who seem, to me anyway, to believe that the Sox are the greatest thing to happen to baseball since bats were invented. Red Sox fans are hilarious. But hey, I'd be alot more worried if Yankee fans and Red Sox fans stopped running smack at each other. It'd be a sure sign of the apocalypse.

ok let me just say, for all the yankee fans who have complained to us about red sox nation invading each away game that the sox play. turn on espn right now, if you dont have it on of course, and you will see that like about 75% of the fans in the rangers' stadium are yankee fans

New York City! The city that doesn't sleep, or from past expieriences from sitting next to Yankees fans, the City That Doesn't Bathe! It's so much fun seeing the Yankees fans all hyped up over their taking 3 out of 4 from the Red Sox in July! It seems as though these lads are quite excited about beating the Sox and maybe they have drank too much cawfee and that has contributed to their elation..

I can't say I blame New York fans for being so happy to beat a team from Boston. I mean when is the last time New York City has seen a title? the year 2000!? (LAUGHTER  ).

Here in Boston we don't put much stake in to winning a series in July. We all know that when the going get tough, the Yankees momentum will hit a brick wall much like John Kerry's presidential run!!! The Patriots and Red Sox continue to bring in ring after ring, while the Jets and Giants continue to suck like a White House intern!!! :o

Once again come October here in Beantown we will once again celebrate a World series victory and at the same time the Pats will be about 8-0 while Eli Manning sits on the bench nursing a soar arm and the Jets........Well the Jets will always be the Jets, their chances of winning a playoff game are about as slim as Ally Mcbeal!!

I think you are an idiot. We have 1 world series ring in 86 years and the yankees have owned us all these decades u moron!

Yankee fans - I've noticed that...

Alex Rodriguez fans? Not a chance! :D

Red Sox have the highest away attendance in MLB. Doesn't really bother me if RSN wants to "invade" a Yanks game and boo...portable Fenway crowd!

AUKM: I'm afraid you're math is incorrect -

6 (Red Sox) + 3 (Patriots) + 16 (Celtics) = 31; 31>26

I didn't even count hockey or UCONN basketball.

"are u kidding me?" also factor in the bruin championships, and do have lil sizable lead over ny

I know, I wasnt serious I was just making a point that there is no reason to for the author of this post to talk so much s*** about a city and team that has clearly dominated more than any other team in sports. I mean 26! God Damn!

I suppose I have a little more respect for the yankees than most redsox fans out there. Hate them yes but respect them absolutely.

More patient at the plate, Obi-Wan will be.

Are U Kidding me,

It sounds to me like your jealous of all of Boston's illustrious success and you are resorting to your 7th grade ways by calling Irish Jay a moron!! ( LAUGHTER). Maybe sometime in this century one of your New York teams will win a title....Nothing that happened last century means anything now buster!! You just can't seem to get over the fact that Boston owns championships these days.....

Now move on Irish Jay has DISMISSED you!!

well if you say something like that on a red sox form site, die-hard sox fans will be sure to point out the yankees flaws. Yes the Sox do need lost of work right now, do have the offense but not moving baserunners along, bullpen and pitching

Irish Jay I am a red sox fan. I just thought your topic was pure foolishness. You speak as if the red sox have been winning championships all these years like the yankees and they havent. I really do think you are childish and immature and jealous of the yankees and their fans. Thats why you wrote this post. Because you actually ENVY them!

Now you move on because YOU make no SENSE!!!

Ok so one century ago was 1905, which means you guys have five championships and the yanks still have 26.

OWNED

go back a decade to 1995 and we have 1 ring and you have 4 so I really don't know what that comment was about. Why not go back a millenium? Anyone?

this whole arguement that you yankee fans have resorted to is comical. you guys cant win one for a few years and you have to say "we are better because we won 26 titles in the last 100 years". i guess the 49rs or the cowboys are the greatest because they USE TO BE great...thats a joke because they suck RIGHT NOW. just like you guys suck RIGHT NOW. and yes before you start, you suck when you blow a 3-0 lead in the alcs. the RED SOX are the WORLD CHAMPS RIGHT NOW!!! that is what matters RIGHT NOW.
