  1. Totally get that POV with Harrison. Personally though, I’m just a tougher sell on our starters, whether depth guys or not. Especially since watching this team in desperate need of them recently. But yeah, I understand the other side.
  2. Preister and Drohan for depth because it was needed and Harrison, who was better, was def worth giving more time in MLB imo. I like a lot of pitching because it seems you need to go to a 9 or 10 on the depth chart like we have had to. and no hindsight. I questioned these moves at the time, not just now.
  3. It’s absolutely useless. Just another example of MLB having to tinker with everything. Worst to best.
  4. I get it, but like I said, anything but another middle IF if you trade him. Maybe another arm, starter or BP. We didn’t need another guy like him.
  5. I mean, I wasn’t all bent over Drohan going, but just the fact it was two starters for a Punch and Judy middle IF. Granted the ROTY stuff, but still. Slap hitter middle IF they moved to 3b. He’s not a true 3b. He got rid of Blaze Jordan as he was hitting good and we needed corner IFers. It seems his timing for trading guys is weird. Not that Jordan was highly touted, but he was doing good and we had a need. Why not see what we got before moving him? now he seems to be rolling along nicely in St.L The starters he traded were needed depth at the time, who turned into solid starters for someone else. We didn’t get much back it seems. im not a fan of Breslow. But that’s what this owner gets when he runs his organization the way he does with no loyalty no security and no real drive to win a ring anymore. Just make money. No respected MLB FO professional will even take an interview. The organization is becoming a real joke.
  6. I never mentioned that trade. I would have never traded Sale just for the fact that I wanted a good healthy year from him because he missed all that time. And if I did it wouldn’t have been for another middle IFer.
  7. We never really gave Harrison a chance. Besides. He gave drohan as well. It was a bad move. He made a lot of moves that made us worse.
  8. And we let preister go when we needed depth and he could have helped. and Harrison? for what? A Punch and Judy 5’6middle infielder who Breslow promptly screwed up his swing and he had to get better from outside this org…now what Harrison is doing is what we should be enjoying. Not a 200slap hitter
  9. Some did. His roster construction overall sucks which makes it all look like a waste. He’s in way over his head.
  10. If the season ended the Sox would have the third pick in the draft. 403 win% not sure there’s a way to fix this mess this year. Just a poorly constructed team. Breslow lost on trades and was/is in way over his head. I’d have some hope at the trade deadline if it weren’t for that fact. I just hope they don’t sink below 400. That’s beyond embarrassing…
  11. Yeah, and he was just hired for the asst GM position within that same year so he had little experience as even as an asst GM. He is grossly under qualified for the position of PBO
  12. Bennett is so damn slow to the plate. They HAVE to do something about it. The throws aren’t even close.
  13. Owner philosophical views have changed from Theo to Cherry to Dom to Bloom and with Breslow, he here because nobody in their right mind will work for Henry so he had to hire an Asst GM with little experience at that position. It shows.

  15. I said the same thing. Live down the road from the stadium. When he was healthy there wasn’t anything special there. And he’s got zero personality
  16. I think it depends on what’s offered at the deadline. With another year of control and having shown steady power, a ba at 280-300 and solid D. If someone is willing to pay for him I let him go.
  17. It would be just like Breslow. In over his head. Our owner has alienated most MLB FO execs. So this seem like the type of clown show we’re gonna see within the Red Sox FOfor the next couple years anyway…I do wish he’d sell. No chance on that…anyone got 5.25B?
  18. You can probably add Cora to the list of many possible MLB front office professionals that will not work for John Henry. Breslow is an asst GM who’s in way over his head.
  19. Agree. If he can have some consistent success over the next month he will have some value at the deadline. Limited I’m sure, but I’ll take a prospect for him.
  20. Yeah I didn’t notice all the responses until after I posted.
  21. Bello and Whitlock will get a LOT of interest but not so much Campbell. You have to take some of that money. It was a mistake to give him a deal. Anthony too, although To a lesser extent. . No chance on Sandoval. Story will be offseason, if at all. Eat 10-12m, or add a prospect and Yoshida would find another home for a year and a half. the rest will bring something of value back at various levels, depending… I would also listen on other players just to get a feel for their value… or maybe I’ll get blown away and can’t say no.
