  1. Its not my top choice either, I wanted Schwarber to everyday DH But Duran will not be the everyday DH on this team in 2026 Its the team we have. I understand that if you have a true DH , you cant really play em in the field. Alvarez, Papi, Rooker, Ohtani (energy conservation). I get that. But everything is case by case, and in our case - they just arent going to make duran the full time dh. Roman was DH'ing quite a bit last year. Mister: we only rotated because something to do with yoshi and devers or whatever you said that i barely paid attention to
  2. plenty of times, but i honestly have been looking at 2026 projected wRC+ for 2026 since yesterday and William is #30 on that list and thats how this mix up happened.
  3. Al Horford looked older at 32 then he did at 36
  4. E. suarez isnt the defender he was in 2024 and wilson contreras isnt hte hitter he was in 2024, though He could resurge (wilson) and i hope he does.
  5. Okay, this is actually kind of funny. I have been talking about projected wRC+ from 2026 since yesteerday. Not sure when we switched from projected for 2026 to 2024 and 2025 combined, but 1. Its funny how when you look at 24/25 wrc+ Wilson Contreras is #30, but whne you switch to projected for 2026 William is #30. Pretty coincidental, but thats how this mix up happend. Ive literally had projected 2026 up on my screen this whole time and its William at 30 (I just posted it, but heres the link) https://www.fangraphs.com/projections?type=steamer&stats=bat&pos=all&team=0&players=0&lg=all&z=1769074455&sortcol=16&sortdir=desc&pageitems=30&statgroup=dashboard&fantasypreset=dashboard YOu might have to resort by wRC+ 2. Wilson is old and William is young. I think the 2026 projections are more accurate in this case. When brothers are like 10 yrs apart in age, eventually the younger one surpasses the older one. Not really the point though, Im glad we have old contreras. I would love young contreras but im glad we arent talking about casas at first Wilson Contreras though is not a top 30 hitter in 2026, william contreras according to my source is, but borderline , and i kind of dont think he will be. Im happy with either. 2

  7. You from 6 minutes ago: If they need a day off, they will likely just get a day off. Any days off that Yoshi gets will be against a lefty. Romy will pick up those ABs.
  8. bottom is a myth, anything and everything can always get worse
  9. more player versatility, more platooning, more riding the hot bat, more flexibility, more craziness. In baseball terms, we are in the third inning of the modernization. It will accelerate. Everything is everything in 2026 get use to it
  10. Baseball is the dinosaur sport, but eventually change will get you too
  11. Use to be in football, you had a left outside linebacker that was always your left outside linebacker , and all your positions were kind of filled by dudes that play those positions Now you got guys moving around. All over the secondary, all over the front 7, all over the O line, even RBs going out for passes and WRs taking handoffs. Basketball use to be all about positions, then it changed. Now its only barely a thing. I make a big deal out of the nba draft and watch it every year. Its loaded with 6'6 point guards and 6'9 centers with very little difference between em. Use to be you had your pg,sg,sf,pf,c and they all covered the one on the other team. Now the nba is a switchaton and specialists (true pg or c) are ripe for exploiting by switching em onto mismatch Rigidity gives away to flexibility. WIth boomers screaming and retaliating and getting bitter the whole way. But change always prevails. Adapt or die.
  12. so except for occasionally yoshi/romy are your dh So you playing cedanne at 2b or sending anthony down?
  13. Rigidity isnt for boomers? Its like their wet dream
  14. "the 4 OF thing aside" is a pretty big thing to park aside, and 2023 is too long ago for me to care game changes yearly, keep up.
  15. Nobody is themselves for 162 games. Id never DH Cedanne either. Unless he is nursing something that I want to be cautious about and hes red hot at the plate. I agree, but throw in an asterisk being *everything subject to change based on who is avaialable, who is hot, who is slumping, handedness of pitcher, if the moon is in low tide, whether outside, what mood Cora happens to be in when he set the lineup, whether you had fish, chicken, beef, or veggies the night before for dinner Im getting silly but so many things can happen, and theres so many variables. Dudes will move around more than the boomers want cuz its not the same game it use to be and they dont do well with change, except you - cuz i get the feeling you're old man in age but not old in outlook. Could be wrong, but I picture you in 60s/70s but sharp as youve ever been, and open to change, and compassionate, and a good person, and just not a bitter grump like a lot of senior men.
  16. yeah, id rather get paredes personally
  17. Once we start moving guys to 60 day, we'll have 40 man spots.
  18. And casas will prob start on the 60 day IL.
  19. Im fine with both on the 40 man, not with both on the 26.
  20. no, opposite. If you could have your entire 40 man roster in mlb, literally everybody in mlb except for maybe 30 guys would platoon.
  21. Thats the wrong contreras, who you have as our best hitter. I wish we had that contreras, but we dont, haha. Duran is tops at 56. And I wouldnt consider 56 "tier 2" Tier 1 hitters are like 5 people Judge, Cal, Soto, Ohtani, Vlad (if he stays as good as he finished last year) maybe a few others. But its not a set number, its just until there is a dropoff. Id put 5-10 guys in T1, and the rest of the top 40 in t2. We have none (again, thats not our contreras at 30, thats younger bro) So here we are , with not T1 or T2 hitters and some of you wanna (or wanted) to trade Duran, are only T3 hitter. ANd some of you dont want Paredes because "Id rather have a guy who can field better" WE HAVE 0 GOOD HITTERS
