  1. We dont deserve the variteks :(
  2. Dustin May and Durbin* ANd yes, I never wanted to trade Devers nad never saw him as a bad contract
  3. At some point, and I hate pulling this lever, it becomes not wanting to give up too many years of control. We are likely to lose one on Early and Tolle, do we want to start the clock on Arias?
  4. So, maybe 4th yr of actual rebuild but maybe 5-6 yrs of frustration as those 2 things arent exactly the same. I could get behind this.
  5. That doesnt exactly sound optimistic about the bats going forward
  6. 5 last place teams in like the last 7 years and 0 or 1 playoff series win, and people are here to complain......about fans complaining.
  7. Why did you capitalize "THAT" ??
  8. My issue with selling for prospects is from like 2022-2024 it appeared we throttled back some aggression, instead waiting for the next great group of prospects to break in. It felt like we would wait to get a homegrown core before we got super aggressive getting guys to compliment them and roll out a competitive team. Then the kids started getting worked in 2025 and it has continued this year....And now it fells like 5 years of waiting already in the books.....Talking about a reset for prospects? Thats another 3 yrs of waiting? Hey listen, I can do it. Im willing to do it. But my concern is that it kind of feels a little like here we go again. Now I know thats more of a perception than anythign else. I certainly dont actually mean: we should never build around future prospects again because its been a rough last 5 years....But there is a part of me thats like "sell for prospects, then wait for them, then try to work them in".....Part of me lets out an unenthusiastic "yay" Its hard to be excited right now. But at least Gonzales is 7 feet tall and you cant teach that. So at least thats different. But its just hard to get pumped about starting the cycle again, even though its probably needed.
  9. Well when I keep hearing we cant move Brez because nobody would take the job...if thats true it gives brez an advantage vs bloom when it comes to not getting sacked.
  10. Well, good sir, if you told me that I was just looking for a reason to blame Breslow, you would be right approximately 1/3 of the time
  11. Any credibility to: had breslow not spat in bregmans face , that bregman could have returned and these monster drop offs wouldnt have happened? I dont usually put a lot of stock in that stuff but a lot are saying he had a huge impact on teammates (positively)
  12. Right it shows that when it comes to batting average, we've gotten lucky....And we have one of the worst batting averages for this team in 100 yrs
  13. Agree if someone is like expect some light rain and it monsoons, its hard to say that person was right
  14. so we're getting good luck on balls dropping in hahahahah (5th in babip) and yes, we have great pitching and defense. But the noodliest noodlebat offense since noodles were invented is too much to overcome.
  15. I predicted that we wouldnt have enough offense, and plenty did also did. I dont think I envisioned it being this bad, so sure. But Breslow does bear a lot of responsibility is my point (again and again).
  16. Maybe not worst offense at fenway since 1908 but certainly bottom 1/3 of the league.
  17. Everybody knew we had a bad offense coming into this season.
  18. "Nobody could have predicted a bottom 10 offense" Whats 30 - 19?? HOW DARE YOU SAY WE HAD A PROJECTED BOTTOM 10 OFFENSE? WE HAD A PROJECTED ...(checks notes)....BOTTOM 11 OFFENSE!! We splitting these hairs? You dont rely on a bunch of sophmores to do the most important thing in baseball. Hit the ball hard.
