  1. Help me understand why Henry isn’t all in on the 2019 season. Money be damned! He has a chance to repeat by signing a couple good relievers and he should go balls out to get this done, especially knowing this is probably his last chance for a few years as desperate Dave has burned our minor league system.
  2. Bullpen options: kimbrel Robertson Ottavino Britton Allen sipp Tawaza Duke Which if any of these or any others would you make a case of us signing. I would welcome me back kimbrel (4 years and 70mm). He regressed in the second half of 2018 but I think that was a case of command and control issues. In addition to replace Kelly, I would sign Britton (3 years and 42mm) his work in the second half of 2018 showed that he is regaining his stuff and just needs to regai his command and control.
  3. I think it all starts with the health of our starting pitchers. Price and Porcello should be ok. Rodriguez is primed for a break out season if he can stay healthy. Eovaldi’s arm looked strong at the end of the season. We will have to keep our fingers crossed. Sale is a wild card. If he is right and pitching for his next contract, we are gold! If the shoulder has issues, we are in for a tough year. The bullpen will cause us consternation, but really talented help is on the way! Benintendi and Devers are ascending players. Betts, Martinez and bogey should continue to produce all star stats. Bradley, the cast of characters at second and the first base platoon of Moreland/Pearce could backslide. Catcher remains a black hole offensively, but our pitchers love throwing to them and happy pitchers are productive pitchers, Two really good free agent relievers signings and I like this team to go all the way again, if sale’s shoulder is right!
  4. More depth with the Ryan Weber signing. He can start or be a bullpen guy. We have now added 6 depth guys this offseason. Smart moves by desperate Dave.
  5. Isn’t he coming back from bone spurs in both feet? Not sure how major that is?
  6. Does desperate Dave pull the trigger on resigning kimbrel, if he can get kimbrel for 4 years and something between 65-70 million?
  7. If Bailey turns back the clock on his second tour of duty, this will be a huge deal for the dodgers. Added bonus for the reds is they are in the hook for one year on the puig and Kemp deals, I think.
  8. I still think buchholz could be a great reliever for us.
  9. Yo can never have enough depth. Plus this signing does not prohibit us from bringing back kimbrel!
  10. Wasn’t rameriez hot for a couple of months in Seattle this past season, as a starter?
  11. Any time you can add depth, it is a good thing. Looking for the next brassier!
  12. so in summary. We give the highest salary of any team in the league and The highest paid minor leaguer in history! At least we are consistent!
  13. Did Ben sign Hanley and Pablo or was larry the driving force behind the signings? My money is on Larry!
  14. So would we rather have the ring and 43rd pick in th draft or the 33rd pick in the draft and an extra 477k of pool money. Let’s face it, we plowed all our chips into the middle of the table and we won. Big time! Now we leave the house a little tip as we head to the crazy horse 2 for some well deserved fun and games until it’s time to sit back down at the table and do it all over again! This was an incredibly exciting season and such a joy to witness first hand. A couple years ago we were at the nadir, now we are at the pinnacle, why sweat the small stuff!
  15. Pitchers who try to throw through discomfort or tightness in their shoulder, usually see their walk rate spike. We should know by the end of April, if he has the early warning signs.
  16. After watching Hernandez throw in the Arizona league, I am convinced he could be a valuable piece of our bullpen. Great arm action. Two close to plus pitches.
  17. Kimbrel is asking for 6 years? Who would do that?
  18. There is no doubt in my mind that sale’s shoulder issue will resurface in 2019. He looked unbelievable in his return versus Baltimore and then goes back in the dl. Something in that shoulder might be torn. But I hope I am wrong and sale has a great walk year.
  19. Wasn’t the bullpen the Achilles heel of dombrowski’s Detroit teams?
  20. Anytime we can add depth, it is a good move!
  21. Can benintendi get on base enough, to make this switch work? Too early to tell, but it would be nice to see benintendi have a break out year.
  22. Thornburg should have this offseason to work out instead of rehab. Theoretically, he should pitch much better in year two because of this. The question is, can he get close to the pitcher he was in Milwaukee this year?
  23. Don’t pitchers go to arlington to die? That place just seems to eats up mediocre pitching!
  24. Has there been any update in nunez’s Knee? Did he have surgery?
  25. Yes, I agree, Cora seems to really like guys who are good in the club house and can contribute on the field. If we can stomach the roller coaster ride Kelly will endure during the regular season, this could be an important resigning.
