    I do not think that is a rumor. I think it is absolutely true. Signing is almost always contingent on passing a physical. I wonder if they did a full detail, mri, etc? Also, someone needs to interview dan Lavigne and ask him what he was seeing with our starters in the bullpen sessions for the month of March! I’m pretty sure even Ray Charles can see that our pitchers are really struggling to locate pitches.

    All our pitchers must own farms in Idaho! Because they are giving up taters in record numbers!!!!! Sale at 89 mph on the heater. What am I missing here????? Is he going to need the same type shoulder surgery that Brett saberhagan had?

    The biggest thing I see so far this season is the starting pitchers are not finishing pitches. They are really rusty and don’t have any command yet. Pitches are being left out over the plate with no movement. If this were late August, we would call it dead arm syndrome. These guys are gong to need another trip or two through the rotation before they build up arm strength, velocity and command. Unlike last year where we led from the front of the race to the end, this year we are going to have to come from the back to win the race. Ps: please bring back sandy. He has a way with these guys and we need that badly. Swihart looks like he has a left and/or right oblique strain that will require 5 to 7 months of dL time to heal.

    I have not noticed any additional thickness arounfmd his middle, but I have noticed his swing is slower than last year and that does concern me. This spring he has been worse than delta airlines and late on everything!

    I think we win 95 games this year and make an impact deal by the trade deadline.

    Sale and price have to have good years for us to be a playoff team this year and clearly they have better numbers when pitching to Leon. Should be an interesting season!

    It would be nice to extend Porcello. But I do understand we have a ton of money tied up in our starting rotation already.

    I know spring training numbers have no real carry over to the regular season. But the adjustments devers made to his swing this offseason looked really good so far. If he has a break out year and we get anything out of pedrioa, that be huge in making up for any unexpected regressions elsewhere in the lineup.
