  1. As you get older and older, you realize how hard it is to find young people to hire that have anything resembling a lick of sense, are not the definition of lazy, are not totally lacking in independent thought and are not under qualified to work in fast food!
  2. Really interested to see how pedrioa does on that knee. He might have been able to contribute late last year, but he lacked patience and rushed his rehab and paid the price, It would be a huge boost if he is back and healthy all year. His defense is above average and if we can get the league average for second basemen offense out of him, that is a win for us. I would love to see Devers make a leap. He has such a nice swing. I don’t care if the defense is not league average. Time for Rodriguez to stay healthy and make monster leap. His talent is undeniable. Now is the year to put it all together.
  3. 1.) feltman is the real deal. I saw him pitch live for tcu and for Greenville. No doubt in my mind, he is already top 3 in ability to get hitters out when compared to the current group of relievers we have. 2.) Hernandez should be in the pen. Again he could contribute in 2019. 3.) Henry is nuts to not be all in on the 2019 season by not bringing kimbrel back. Why let a few dollars stand between us and another duck boat parade.
  4. He and Bradley are gamecocks!!!
  5. This dudes needs to drink plenty of Gatorade because before every game this year, he is going to have to pee in the cup.
  6. I think there are two issues working against Kimbrel. 1.) control issues in 2018 that escalated during the playoffs. Stats guys see that as a red flag. 2.) ridiculous contract demands. I wonder how much the control issues are affecting our decision to not sign kimbrel?
  7. So, why would any of the other 29 teams give up more than a bucket of used baseballs for any of our three catchers?
  8. There is more than just Atlanta and San Diego. Toronto has two diamonds in the kids of former major leaguers. The astros have two mega monsters in Whitley and Tucker. Someone publication just ranked our minor league system dead last! Welcome to the bottom of the barrel.
  9. We have a chance to go back to back! This is insane that we are worried about the 40 million dollar threshold when this team has a fantastic chance to repeat! We have brought back 23 of 25 guys and could potentially get the 24th, but desperate Dave is firmly entrenched as a Wal-Mart greeter while thinking about heading over to the dollar tree for a reliever or two. Dave, please strap on that depends diaper, man up and call kimbrel’s agent. We need a closer!
  10. On every level of the Yankees minor league system there is at least a pitcher or two with really impressive stuff. I don’t know how many of these guys will develop and I am sure a couple will end up in the pen. But the bottom line is the Yankees have more guys with better stuff in “a” ball then we have in our entire system,
  11. A happy pitcher is a good pitcher. You don’t mess with a good thing!
  12. Could desperate Dave have a trade target in mind for the pen? Because he does not seem interested in signing any free agents.
  13. Well that explains why desperate Dave has not been sprinting to the table to sign the kimbrel contract.
  14. In 2017 ottavino was no prize. In 2018 he was lights out. Who is the real ottavino? I think some between Feltman, lakins, Hernandez or houck ( our future closer) pop next year, which will make our bullpen will be fine and younger.
  15. This could be true. Desperate Dave has said repeatedly that we can keep everybody.
  16. Hasn’t Allen’s Velocity been decreasing? Not sure we should be sad he got away.
  17. Can’t devers just be himself and not have a cookie cutter build to play 3rd?
  18. Mookie broke in and had a great year when Ortiz was in the lineup, Next year Ortiz is retired. Betts is left unprotected and has a miserable year. Next season enter Martinez and Betts has a great year. Martinez to return in 2019, so Mookie should continue to be great.
  19. A little less than a month until truck day??? Bullpen still looks weak. Is desperate Dave trying to repeat or build a ready are excuse for failure?
  20. I had no problem with the Sox taking a gamble on ball. I have watched ball pitch live several times and in my opinion, when he has command and control, he has Major league caliber stuff. Unfortunately command and control only shows up for him once every 15 times he takes the mound.
  21. So mlb network has their top 10 right now. It appears that we while we won 108 games last year, we will not have anybody on the lists for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and catcher! Kind of amazing
  22. Don’t first round high school arms have a huge flame out percentage?
  23. Huge signing for them! If they pull off the bumgartner trade, they would be positioned for a deep playoff run!
  24. Wasn’t allen’s Velocity down in 2018? I’m beginning to think desperate Dave is counting on Feltman in spring training to prove he is the guy!
  25. So what does that deal look like?
