    Good news today: devers got a few hits. Hernandez with an outfield assist at home. Bad news today: 5 hits just is not going to cut it! Pivetta was not finishing pitches.

    It seems like devers hitting is negatively impacted by the absence of bogey! Today the bottom third of the lineup needs to keep contributing.

    This draft is really intriguing. It looks like there are 4 super short stops at the top with the kid from wake forest high school having tons of helium. Our minor league system is really light on quality pitching. Ideally, I would love either one of the Vanderbilt pitchers. Lieter had a rough spot in the middle of the Season but before that and after that he has been a beast, rocker can be great one week and bad the next, against East Carolina the other night he was great again! 1st round - leiter or rocker. They both have ceilings of #2 or #3 starters. 2nd round - I really like pitcher bednar, but I think he has pitched himself into round 1. So my back up plan is pitcher Williams of East Carolina. 3rd round - Carter Jensen (catcher) I think his hit tool is vastly under rated. Not sure he can stick at catcher but he can hit, which means we will find a place for him to play.

    I watched Duran yesterday and I know this is contrary to everybody else, but I do not think he is ready now. He’s late on most pitches and gets over powered at times. He seems to guess a lot. Not sure if he is identifying the spin on the ball. Maybe with more seasoning he can be a September call up?

    I watched espinal pitch. Nothing deceptive about him, but When the command is good, he can get people out. In Boston, he only works if he is in the bullpen and probably has a max of 2 innings,

    Velocity appears down a tick. Very little movement on the pitches and he is throwing the cutter (?) too much and it gets hammered!

    Good news today: what a game! Down 5 to 1 and we win! We were out hit 16 to 8! Bad news today: is sawurama healthy? How soon can we DFA workman and bring up ort?

    Hang’em Chaim has built a pitching staff that pitches fairly well everywhere except Fenway and Houston!

    I think Ort has earned a trip to Boston. But so has the starter espinal. I think his stuff plays better from the bullpen. Ps: maybe hang’em Chaim is on to something with collecting ex yankee pitchers!

    Today’s game is currently 12 to 8 in the 7th inning. What the astros hitters are doing makes no sense. Either they have esp or more likely I think, something is wrong in Denmark! Where are the Major League Baseball sign cheating people? The astros are definitely up to something.

    I hope Duran gets a September call up, or sooner if possible. If we add casas and downs after super two day, then that add a lot of excitement to bogey, devers and verdugo. I remain hopeful Hang’em Chaim will get us two superior college pitchers in this draft. Add that to what we have in the pipeline and you can see a new foundation taking shape.
