  1. Ort had not looked great these last two months. But espinal is throwing the ball really well and as a reliever, he might be able to eat some innings.
  2. Good news today: eovaldi was outstanding. Martinez saved the day. Bad news today: bogey still not looking good when swinging. I think the wrist is still not right.
  3. Maybe hang’em Chaim needs to hire some of the rays scouts? I heard the rays have most of their baseball analytics people under non competes.
  4. The thing that concerns me the most about our prospects is the lack of quality arms with great stuff! We have 4 to 5 arms with great stuff and that is it. This is an area Hang’em Chaim needs to beef up in the next draft.
  5. Hang’em Chaim did create this mess. I am sure he is aware of this and hopefully he learns his lesson and increases the depth of next year’s roster!
  6. Good news today: Shaw rescues the Sox! Bad news today: Barnes is a train wreck!
  7. Blaze with a grand tater today after the other team walked yorke!
  8. And how many of those bullpen guys were legit? Andriese, Valdez, Robles, Davis and Rios for example. Our lack of depth did us in this year, but with another good offseason, we should be gold for 2022.
  9. We started this year with 1.) a shallow and shaky starting rotation. 2.) a good number of unknowns in the bullpen and 3.) offensively some premium bats (devers, bogey and Martinez); some dependable bats (verdugo, Vazquez and Hernandez) and unknowns at most all the other positions. 4.) Underlying all of this was a total lack of depth. For the first 4 months the starting pitching did fairly well but did not eat innings. The bullpen far exceeded any and all expectations, but got over used. The premium bats were tremendous, the dependable bats were awesome and the unknowns were substandard. When the injuries hit the bullpen and the premium bats, our lack of depth was exposed and the front office chose to not overpay for reinforcements. We are going to fight for the next six weeks and might be able to get a wild card. But in a lot of ways, we are the 2011 version of the Sox and with a decent offseason, we should expect to be monsters of the American League next season.
  10. Blaze Jordan with his first Salem tater!
  11. Hamels can take the seat next to Mookie!
  12. Cordero on his way to triple a! I feel so much better now!
  13. Several prospects have stepped up big time this season. Because of this hang’em Chaim now has options, options he did not have last offseason. My guess is he churns the bottom 25 percent of the 40 man squad this off season. He has to improve the bullpen. Settle the rotation and build more quality depth. And finally, upgrading the outfield.
  14. Beat our rotation has looked since April.
  15. We have to use dalbec properly for the rest of the season in order to get the best results from him!
  16. We will end this year strong. Probably end up in the wild card game.
  17. And where does Travis Shaw fit in?
  18. Didn’t our last three gm’s all win a World Series? Hang’em Chaim has a really high bar to hit!
  19. I think yairo ties dom’s record at 34 straight games with a hit!
  20. Amen brother! Probably Davis as well!
  21. In related news schwarber pulled a hammy tonight while sneaking into cora’s office to steal a corona light. He is expected to be out another 10 to 12 weeks!
  22. I have faith in hang’em Chaim and his process. I thought we arrived a year early and our lack of depth proved that correct. This year is not over yet snd I think we can still get to at least 88 wins.
  23. Brazier and ort completely melted down tonight and lost an 8 to 0 lead! Not sure we want brazier anywhere near Boston.
  24. If Barnes keeps serving up meatballs, he is going to single handedly turn lot of deadbeats into “clutch” hitters!
