    he's also one of the worst fielding 3B in all of MLB but hey he has power even though he k's a ton but he will be much cheaper than our other so-called targets this offseason. Still doubt very much we sign him. Bichette would be a far better signing as he is a much better player and fits our window age wise. God knows after dumping Devers and missing out on Bregman surely we could afford Bo. I'm not fooling my self though. There is about a 2% chance of signing BO and no more than 20% chance IMO of signing Suarez either. I mean I've lost track of how many so-called targets the Sox have missed out on so far. In no particular order: Alonso Schwarber Bregman Marte Palonco Did I miss anyone??

    None of our OF will bring us a #2 without adding a prospect. Even signing Suarez which I doubt they will do will be a significant downgrade at 3B given that he has a glove for no apparent reason. Probably a moot point anyway because I am fairly certain someone will outbid us on him.

    Breslow's next job is to somehow dump Yoshida for nothing even if he has to retain half -75% of his salary.

    Maybe Breslow will fill fill the LH reliever himself and save JH even more $$ since he is already on the payroll.

    Yep just put Mayer at 3B and Romy/Hamilton platoon at 2B but they will trade one of top 3 SP prospects for Donovan.

    they didn't lose them for nothing. JH just saved himself over 70 million and the park will still be full. The man is no fool.

    Trust me there is no chance they sign Bo. Think AT BEST they offer Suarez a 1 yr deal right before ST if he is still available otherwise they trade one of our top 3 SP prospects for Donovan.

    i was referring to Gioloto but not Chapman. Forgot Gioloto got injured in ST but nonetheless gave us LESS than a full season. The others WERE injured long term when we signed them.

    the only reason those pitchers got 2 years was because the first year they could not pitch due to injury and as a result were signifigant dumb overpays.

    He might get 2 yrs but I doubt it is from the Red Sox unless the $$ bare lower than what you are predicting-- 15-16 million per MAX

    MLB FA is just a complete joke. All the other major sports FA moves along MUCH MUCH quicker than baseball does. Sox are simply waiting out to sign the last man standing on a 1 yr deal with maybe a 2nd yr option. In the meantime they will sign a few M/L FA's like they did yesterday. If they actually add someone decent in FA it will be around March 15th.

    guy is 34 now. weak glove. will be lucky to get a 1 yr with a mutual 2nd yr option. If he signs with the Sox it likey won't be till ST is pending.

    i agree those are the likely 2 options. 1] Suarez on a last minute team friendly 1 yr deal or 2} a Donovan trade for 1 of our top 3 SP prospects.. Either way nothing likely to happen for a while yet.

    We do anyway as it is. Fans like myself have been waiting {not so} patiently for 3 months now with nothing other than Sonny Gray and Contreras as so called "players we are interested in" [Alonso, Schwarber, Marte and the Japanese guys and others} have all come off the board. Now we likely have to overpay to bring Bregman back or he will be gone too. I very much doubt we are at all in on Bichette and Breslow is simply waiting to see who is the warm body standing he can snag on a 1 yr deal. Tell me I am wrong.
