    so we got robbed on the Sale trade in December and the others you mention in December hardly move the needle. I guess Sale wouldn't look good as our #2 right now?? Also I see we lost out to the might White Sox on the Japanese slugger who signed for just 2 years at 17 mil per. I guess that was too rich for JH's blood.

    Actually all Sox fans can likely go back to sleep till at least late Jan-early Feb until the last of the FA's left get desperate and the Sox can swoop in with their 1 year deals.

    You know I am 68 and grew up having my favourite players in various sports. Players I could cheer for and support along with the jersey for several years. Now it seems that all the the offseason moves involves the team signing guys for 1-2 yrs and then they are gone to be replaced by the next wave of -2 year replacements in a constant revolving door. I hate it---

    well Hendriks sure worked out didn't he? but hey we did get 3/4 of a yr for 38 million out of Gio. And dont forget Fulmer too. And people wonder why I would be skeptical of assuring that Sandalvol should be guaranteed a spot in next season's rotation.

    those are the norm since the player is usually out for the first year with injury and we hope he can give us the 2nd year.

    i think they will sign a couple of P to M/L deals and add a bat late in the offseason on a 1 yr deal as the cycle continues.
