  1. Sox are 3rd in revenue and 23rd in spending per revenue.
  2. 1 yr for about 12 million is about the max the Sox might be in for
  3. If he still out there on March 15th and will take a 1 yr deal for about 12-15 million give CB a call.
  4. if he comes cheap and on a 1 yr deal the Sox will be all in on Arenado
  5. those are all low cost options so there is a good chance that will happen
  6. the FO certainly hasn't given up on him. He could well be the 2B this season with Mayer at 3B. JH would just love that.
  7. it is pretty obvious that you will agree with ANY move the FO makes and that includes bringing an average to just above avg 2B or 3B with Mayer handling the other spot. You will praise the move no matter what.
  8. so we need to shed more payroll just to be able to afford to sign Suarez??
  9. after trading Devers and losing Bregman it is just hard to believe we have to trade/dump Duran and Yoshida to afford Suarez. Pathetic actually. Let's start a go fund me page for JH so he can eat tomorrow.
  10. this argument on Bello is the least of the Red Sox issues
  11. so what long term success does Bello have especially in the post season?. W/C round is 2/3 I am not anti Bello and don't want him traded but just going against your view.
  12. on the fence again covering both sides
  13. i dont know how many times i need to state that i did NOT want Bregman on a long term deal but i will state it AGAIN now.
  14. read the whole report. Sox weren't really close on the overall offer.
  15. i only said "word is" because it was a long time ago and I don't recall the exact details.
  16. that is my point. I ask the question of those bashing Devers--would you rescind that trade today??
  17. just what we need-another OFer
  18. i guess Cora was just sticking up for him then?
  19. just my little knowledge I would consider our C as mid level in MLB at best
  20. yeah better to overpay in a trade for him than to simply spend some of JH's $$
  21. try listening to the Bastards of Boston podcast. i think they speak for the vast majority of Sox fans. Best line so far "will John Henry ever be able to smoke a cigar in public in Boston again?"
  22. i don't get your logic at all and will only respond how are better at C? CV regressed badly in the 2nd half after a strong start and Wong is still our backup. As for SS we still have the same guy who finally had a decent yr. Do you suddenly expect him to improve given his age?? And you expect Chapman to be better than he was closing than last yr?? Sorry your logic doesn't wash with me. I could care less how we started 2025 only how we compare today with how we finished 2025.
