    the Dodgers are on a different level now than even the Yankees. Listen I know it is only Jan 1 and there is still lots of time before ST but if the Sox don't add anything more than a Donovan type I will be very vocal. The FA and offseason in MLB is a total joke and just goes on and and on probably in part because off guys like Scott Bora$$. I am on record that I am 100% AGAINST the Sox giving any more than 3 years to Bregman. I would far prefer 5-6 years for Bichette but in all honesty I expect neither. What I do expect is either Bello or 1 of Tolle/Early dealt for a Donovan type.

    it has been too busy covering all the Red Sox FA signings. Oh wait.......

    if he is DFA'd he will join the growing and long list of other such great "low risk" signings of rehabbing SP. Maybe if new didn't try and waste our $$ on these duds we could afford to spend on a decent FA.

    a number of issues on Duran but i clearly think he is more valuable to keep than he would be to trade.

    you know this entire debate is simply a waste of time. Alledglly the Sox have been in on Schwarber, Alonso Bichette,, the Japanese 1B, Skubal, Martes, Parelas, Donovan and many others i can't remember. The only guy they got was Conteras who is a downgrade both in talent and most importantly salary. I am simply waiting for the next guy we add either on a 1 yr deal or a trade where we give up one or two of our top SP prospects. RSN is smoking some funny stuff if they are expecting more.

    everything i have heard recently is that AZ really doesn't want to deal Marte anyway.. unless we drastically overpay this is just another of the ongoing "Sox are interested in this guy" fiasco

    i could easily see the sox going with Mayer at 3B and Romy at 2B with Hamilton as backup.

    firstly wee DID NOT OVERPAY for Crochet. We got a bona-fide 25 year old STUD #1 SP not a 32 yr old 2B. I really don't need to say anymore. Now if we are talking about acquiring Skull then yes Bello, Tolle and Early can be on the table. Other use simply sign Bichette or Bregman and use Mayer at the other position {2B or 3B} and keep those 3 SP. Of course JH is simply too cheap to spend on EVEN ONE real FA so better to trade top pitching prospects instead.

    the only way we are getting Marte is to overpay in a trade. The guy is 32 and doesn't really fit our window. Why give up the assets needed to acquire him when we could have just spent in FA?? Oh yeah I forgot who our owner is.

    they are going to deal 1,2, or 3 of Bello, Early, or Tolle probably Bello because his contract is the highest.
