    this team has not had a solid deadline plan for years now. Henry and co are happy with the team around .500 as long the payroll keeps moving down relative to the rest of MLB

    this trade was done for 2 reasons 1} unload the $$$ and 2} Dever's bad attitude which the Sox helped manifest

    wow i can only listen to 1/2 of this from a couple of liars. Up until around the time DD was fired I was as big a RS fan as there was. . Since that time I have become disgusted with the direction since that time. John Henry has become a skinflint owner only interested in the bottom line. Since 2019 the Sox have been basically a .500 team while cutting back on the payroll. Henry's mandate has become to build from with-in the farm system with young COST CONTROLLED talent. Meanwhile hall of fame talent in Betts, Sale, and Devers have been shipped off for poor return overall. Now the team is counting on the young LOW PRICED talent to carry the team but once/if they become stars they will be shipped out once they get to a level they need to get paid. I was really looking forward to this season as it looked promising with the additions of Crochet and Bregman but the FO has simply proved once again that they are not really prepared to do what it takes to truly contend. Very sad time to be a Red Sox fan. No longer.

    no doubt Devers was a bit of a head case but he did own the Yankees and I sure hope you don't think Henry is going to let Breslow spend a good portion of that money saved>

    Sox mailed in 2025 with this trade. Harrison already optioned to AAA.

    If you think Henry is going to spend a lot of that money to improve the team I have property to sell you. The big piece in the deal Kyle Harrison has already been optioned to AAA. Henry wants this team built 90% with low priced young talent. When these guys get to the point they need to be paid they will be traded. Just ask Mookie, Sale, and Devers.

    I am like you. I thought this team would be much better but the holes we have at 1B and 2B look bad and are killing the line-up along with Connor Wong. Not sure why we didn't give Grandal a shot.'t

    Trevor Story needs to go as soon as Bregman returns. The guy has been useless since the day we got him to replace Xander who now is in rumours to return. Figure that one out. I don't care what the return for Story is. DFA him if need be. Mayer is the shortstop.
