  1. i don't believe the "cancer" rumors at all. Dugo is an emotional guy. i like that. and i don't have a problem extending Dugo, if the price was right. yes, LF is the best place for Duran.
  2. i had no idea they were so close in age. i like Dugo and have absolutely nothing against him, including whatever real or perceived "clubhouse cancer" rumor that is going around. but the fact is, he just doesn't do anything for me. his numbers are steady yet, to me, IDK...unimpressive. as you know, he's eligible after next year, Duran two years after that. Duran's fWAR is slightly higher than Dugo's (2.3 to 2.2)in less games and his OPS+ is higher (120-103). i just see more potential with Duran. maybe i'm wrong. i'm just saying, i'd keep Jarren over Alex. with that said, i wouldn't get pissed if they traded Duran for quality SP. i never said "the Sox need to act like a large market team".
  3. i think Dugo has peaked. he is what he is with no more upside. otoh, i think we have yet to see Duran's potential. with that in mind, i'd trade Dugo.
  4. that wouldn't hurt my feelings. a lot of money for a singles-hitting DH.
  5. you get my vote.
  6. it's all part of Bloom's 15 year plan. you'll see.
  7. i'm not in Houston but i can see that. if we had done the same, there'd be very little bitching and moaning about losing Mookie (myself included).
  8. apparently i'm part of this "posse" myself. LOL. i had no idea. you know how i feel about Bloom and i'd fire him today if i was JH. at the same time, if DD were still here and done EXACTLY what Bloom has done, i'd fire him too. but that's just me. i can only take so much s***** pitching, s***** fundamentals and losing. and instead of trying to be "Tampa North" maybe JH should try to be "Atlanta North". 21 NL east titles since 1991 with jsut one last place finish in that same time period and their payroll consistently runs about 10th.
  9. he should have rested them more.
  10. no , but no need for his condescending smart-ass remark either.
  11. as bad as this year has been, i could get excited for next season if the Sox sign a couple of quality SPs. guys like Casas, Duran, Rafaela, Abreu and Bello give me hope.
  12. color me impressed. i just knew Judge was going to knock one out of the park. good job by Zack.
  13. what's especially frustrating to me is that the s***** offense seems to often coincide with an outstanding performance by the pitching staff. and, conversely, the pitching staff seems to suck ass when the offense heats up.
  14. that's what i'm saying.
  15. yeah, whatever, it all adds up.
  16. not sure what you mean but go f*** yourself just in case.
  17. Verdugo has a chance to be a hero and chokes.
  18. with what he gave Kluber, Mondesi and what he left on the table, he could have signed a decent pitcher last year. but he didn't. he went the garbage route. again, i have ZERO faith in this clown to do anything right.
  19. that's my worry. Bloom hasn't added a single solid starter in four years, so why would he start now?
  20. LOL, yeah....your "signings" do make more sense, considering we really only have one starter in Bello.
