2021 is long gone, and has nothing to do with this year just like 2019 had nothing to do with 2018. Things worked out last year, but as close as they were to the WS they were just as close to not even making the postseason. The AL East to me has gotten better, but I can’t say the same about the Sox at this point.
You could have said that about anyone on the team. The margin of error was razor thin, and everyone contributed. Schwaber, and his .957 OPS had nothing to do with if Renfroe’s bat was mediocre or not.
All I was responding to was saying losing Schwaber’s bat was a monster bat, but losing Renfroe’s bat was just a mediocre bat based off last year, and I thought Renfroe’s bat was more than mediocre. I was well aware that they batted in different positions in the order, but that had nothing to do to me with only saying Renfroe was mediocre.
All I care about is Renfroe had 96 RBI, which is better than mediocre, and I don’t care how he got them. Call it crazy all you want, and you can have your stats, and I’ll have mine.
Without Renfroe, and his 96 RBI last year the Sox wouldn’t have made the post season. 96 RBI is not mediocre even in todays analytics world, and that all I was saying. Schwaber is not a RBI guy, which I have mentioned more than once on here, and I’m glad he is long gone. Never would have been a replacement for JD.
I could care less about OPS. All I said was that 96 RBI is more than a mediocre bat, and Flintstone was no monster man. Nothing more, and nothing less. Like I said before YABBA DABBA DOO Flintstone Schwaber is gone too.
I know Bogey won’t win any gold gloves at SS, but there a lot more pressing problems for the Sox that even if Bogey stays he gets moved off SS. Same for Raffy at 3B. ERod should have been signed, but not sure if he wanted to stay, or not.
Does Bogey have a no trade, or not? From what I read he does. I wasn’t for signing Correa at all, but I was just saying he would have helped. Pitching, pitching, pitching is, and has been the biggest need especially the starting rotation.
Correa would have helped for this coming year, but there is no way the Sox would have paid that kind of money if even for 1 year. Bogey is not going ANYWHERE this year unless he wants to. He has a no trade, and I keep hearing all this trade Bogey talk.
Last year there was something to go for at the end on the year, and this year I not so sure. Other teams in the AL East have gotten better, and I’m not to sure that the Sox haven’t taken a step backward especially with Chris Frail out to start the season, and the starting staff looking iffy at best at the moment.
