    You being big on stats don’t you think that someone who has only had more than 71 RBI once, and a high BA of 266 is a bit overrated like Schwaber seems to be on here. He’s not a run producer like JD, and paying him JD like money would be better spent elsewhere?

    Perez sucks, and just because he’s a lefty doesn’t mean he had a better chance. Bra is a better pitcher period, and that’s what should matter most. If it doesn’t then a righty should only face a righty, and a lefty should only face a lefty.

    At the time when Perez went into the game is was only a 1 run game, and when he left it was pretty much out of reach although you can never tell in Fenway. A 1 run game that you keep preaching about to you was out of reach, so to you if Perez shut them down, or did what he did was irrelevant. Perez was never a key to winning the game, but was a key to taking away what chance they had. Perez should have never been brought into the game at that point. He sucks.

    So you mean Bra a righty couldn’t have gotten him out? Perez may be a lefty, but is he a good one? Makes a big difference. Just, because it’s lefty on lefty doesn’t mean it’s a good matchup.

    Like a lot of people keep saying that the more pitchers you bring into a tight game the more chances you have that one of them will not be good, and that’s all it takes. These kind of games is when you miss. Barnes. The good one they gave the extension to.

    My point being that Brasier was the best option, and Davis not being on the roster, and I’m not saying he’s much better, but I’d rather have him then DHern, or Perez. He’ll I would have gone with 14 pitchers. Otta only facing 1 batter was puzzling too.

    So now EO is a fool, and dumb? You are the one that said Cora gave up, and you are the one who said Perez was not the best choice to come into the game when he did, so by your own assumptions Cora gave up, or messed up, or both. You said it not me.

    According to Max the game was over at that point, and then he said the primary reason Perez got put into the game was to just get EO out of the game, and not to give up anymore runs.

    Max you said the game was over when Whitlock gave up the HR, so why did Cora waste his best pitcher EO if the game had already been lost according to you. You already said that Perez was not the best option to stem the tide, so you you already answered your question that bringing in Perez was the wrong call, and Cora made it. Once again I agree with you.

    What you are saying is either Cora screwed up, and brought in Perez, or Cora gave up, and brought in Perez. Either way it makes Cora look bad. Way to go. For once I agree to with you.

    Why do you keep saying that the primary purpose of whoever relieved EO was not to stop anymore runs from scoring in A ONE RUN game, and I repeat a 1 run game, but only to get EO out of the game. Did you hear Cora say that, or is that just your wrong interpretation again. You already said Perez wasn’t the best choice to stem the tide, so what you are really saying is that Cora made a bad decision bring in Perez.

    Plain, and simple. Was Perez the best guy the Red Sox had in the bullpen to get that batter out in a still 1 run ballgame?? OMG stem the tide? It was a 1 run ballgame, and that should have been the objective at that point to stem the tide I guess except for you, and Cora. To you the game should have been stopped when Whitlock gave up the HR, and just gave the Strohs the game. It’s not prunes you are full of.

    The classic case of over managing. Just because the batter was a lefty Cora thought he had to bring a lefty pitcher in no matter if he sucks, or not like Perez does.
