  1. This seems like a long time ago. What a turnaround.
  2. This is fun, but getting shutout last night only counted as 1 loss, and all these hits, and runs will only count as 1 win, and we’ll need 2 more.
  3. What a difference 24 hrs make. Tampa’s pitching staff isn’t used to getting battered like this.
  4. Good to have a day off tomorrow to get more treatment.
  5. Houck is still dealing leave him in, but have someone warm in the pen.
  6. Isn’t that where Benny made a catch a few years ago?
  7. He hasn’t always hit 1 or 2, and all I was saying for all the people who either wanted JD to opt out, or get traded, and sign Schwaber is that Schwaber is not the run producer like JD, and not worth a JD contract.
  8. That’s why I keep saying that Schwaber may hit as many HR as JD, but he’s not a run producer like JD.
  9. Sounds like lots of cheering in the Trop.
  10. True on the stats, but like I said what I saw Sun was all I needed to see. I like Sale, and I know he’s giving it all he’s got, and it’s probably killing him that his results the last two games were as bad as they was. Hopefully he can come back next year, and at least be a serviceable pitcher.
  11. Houck is doing his job, and the big question is how much longer can he go.
  12. Good info I hadn’t heard that.
  13. Houck definitely has the stuff, but he has to be more consistent.
  14. If Pivetta had been scheduled to start game 2 I suppose Richards would have gone longer than 1 batter last night. I know rest makes a difference for a starter, but except for rare occasions pitchers don’t throw as many pitchers anymore. I think Sale got the start more for his name than anything else.
  15. Yes I was, and like I said short rest, or long rest would not make any difference right now. I saw all I needed to see on Sun, and that’s why I said I would have started Pivetta game 2.
  16. I understand what you meant, but my point was that Sale would not start at all. Short rest, long rest, or any rest I don’t think would make a difference with Sale right now.
  17. I didn’t say Pivetta would be that good, but just a better option than Sale. It’s not like they had all kinds of good options.
  18. I said after the Yankee game that I would have started Pivetta in game 2, and everyone said no.
  19. Even when healthy he usually wore down as the season went along.
  20. 2 is better than nothing, but should have gotten more.
  21. His swing doesn’t look right.
  22. Hopefully we can at least get through 1 inning, before the doom, and gloom starts. Sale has to set the tone, and hopefully he will. We should know early on.
  23. Agree 100%
  24. I liked him better than OB.
  25. If we are going to extend him then we’d better do it after this season, because the longer you wait the more expensive it will get. I do not like 10 yr, or more contracts worth 300 million+, and i wouldn’t do it for anybody, so if you can get something shorter then do it, or otherwise trade him. The Yankees have 2 $300+ million contracts, and Judge coming up I believe after next year, and they haven’t won anything. Those big contracts to me just aren’t worth it.
