    KC in May. 8-39 with 19 K’S 1 HR 5 RBI. He doesn’t seem to be progressing very much, or at all.🤔

    Trade deadlines for the Red Sox have been just a little bump in the road for quite some time now without the fork in the road. I don’t expect much to happen either way.

    The AL sucks, which makes the Red Sox play, and record worse than it really is, so I guess we agree. Still 6 games under 500, and 500 is a low bar especially this year.

    The Yankees are 4th in total bases per game while the Red Sox are 29th.

    A 2 run homer, and great pitching seems to be the formula for success.

    Let’s NOT say if we got Bregman that Gray wouldn’t be on the team. Gray was already on the team when the deal for Bregman fell through as was the Con Man. Alonso was offered a deal first, so the only difference if Alonso had signed, and Bregman had signed was there would have been no Ranger, but Alonso, Bregman, and Gray would have been on the team. Easy peasy.

    As I’ve said before that Raffy would have finished with better numbers last year, and would have better numbers this year if he was still with the RED SOX IMO.

    Who you trading for Paredes? Seems like there are less options now than before the season started. If Story is out long term, and the Red Sox see Mayer as the SS of the future then it’s time to take the training wheels off, and put him there.

    Agree. Rice, Lynne, and Evans were all 22-23 in 75 when they produced, but they had Vets like Yaz, Rico, and Fisk there to help.

    Not in the past few years, but when he was coming up through Portland, and Woo he was the first of the next big thing.

    What a tumble Mayer, and little Anthony took after you touted them going 5-6 on opening day.

    Casas, and KC should have been in that group as well. little Anthony with his 1 HR, and 4 RBI hasn’t helped much of anything from what was expected of him either, and the same with Mayer.

    Considering he was the #2 option after Alonso turned down the Red Sox first he’s been a good pick up so far.

    Pretty much everyone you trade you have to replace, so it’s not as simple, easy, or financially better than it may seem.

    KC had lost 6 in a row before winning yesterday, so they could be ripe for the picking. Of course KC could be saying the same thing about Boston.

    Yes, but ALL 7 teams ahead of them in the wildcard standings could say the same things, and do the same things.

    I should have known by now I have to be more specific. My bad, but I did mention fill in, and not long term, which this could be.

    DUBin is 6-40 in May with 3 RBI. That tells the story with the bat.

    I wasn’t really talking about IKF over Mayer’s, but the Mon Man. IKF is a better SS than he is.
