  1. How many years for DeGrom, and how many years for Verlander? Not even close to being the same thing.
  2. They signed Judge, and I’m sure for a lot more than they wanted to. JH would not have done that.
  3. Is that a trick question? Point being they didn’t sign Turner to go to the bench, and if they did I would think Bloom is even worse than he is if that’s possible.
  4. I agree, and the Yankees are in a better position talent, and money wise to do a Rondon deal.
  5. Name one for that kind of money.
  6. Yes, but someone signing Verlander for that kind of money means you are going all in. Are the Red Sox in any position to go all in?
  7. What a plan! Turner to the bench. BIG NO!
  8. For a last place team? Yes.
  9. Personally I would have rather seen someone a little bit younger in the tooth then any of these three.
  10. I disagree that Kluber has better expectations going forward, and I believe the Red Sox would have signed Wacha if they could have gotten him for the same price as they did Kluber, and the same goes for Evol.
  11. Do you think the Red Sox are taking Kluber over Evol, or Wacha, because he is better, or because he is cheaper??
  12. Yes in what way?
  13. It’s not just changing the rules so that players aren’t bunched on one side of the field, but not playing out on the OF grass as well.
  14. I’m not saying he won’t have range, but just not as much as he would playing in short RF. It’s all moot anyways as Story will be the starting SS.
  15. Kluber was better than Wacha last year?
  16. How can someone’s range go up when they won’t be playing so deep? How many of those balls that Story got to playing in short RF last year would he have got to if he was playing on the IF dirt. He’ll still be shifted somewhat, but not being able to play as deep is what will take the same range away.
  17. Story is not going to be playing in short RF this year, so his range at 2B will not be the same thing this year.
  18. Agree, and losing Evol, and Wacha, and being replaced by Kluber does not make them better. As a replacement for Hill maybe.
  19. 3 teams passed on Mayer, and sooner, or later we’ll find out it that was the right move, or not.
  20. I think some over look that Bloom’s trades haven’t been all that great. Let Raffy finish out his last year in Boston, so everyone can see what they’ll be missing.
  21. Mayer like Casas, and Bello are still nothing more than promise at this point, and the way they get talked about on here they are already Mookie, Bogey, and Raffy. In other words future HOF. I hope they turn out to be, but at this point not yet. I’ll cross the Mayer bridge when it’s time.
  22. Sounds good, but maybe Mayer won’t be a SS if, and when he’s ready.
  23. How can you easily trade someone when they have a no trade?
  24. What was BorA$$ asking price last offseason?Once Bogey got to FA nothing else mattered, because he was gone anyways.
