  1. Was they trying to play the market when they lowballed Bogey last offseason? Seems like Lester part II to me, and JH didn’t even meet Bogey out in the parking lot to say goodbye.
  2. If the reports were true that Abreu was the #1 target out there, and while I believe he would have helped the club from what they got on the roster now I think he should have been down on the list of needs, and certainly not #1, so who could be behind door #2. I just can’t see the Sox outbidding other teams for someone that will make a big impact on the team. Maybe fill a need, but not a big impact.
  3. I’ve heard of the PBA, but not about posters being paid by the Sox. Very interesting.
  4. And both sides will claim fowl.
  5. Wrong again, but that’s OK. What do you think came first posters being bothered by my criticism of Bloom, or me being bothered by Blooms supporters?
  6. Who said everything would be fixed? I’ll answer that for you. NO ONE! To me the BP is better when Whitlock is in it, and the BP is not as good when Whitlock is not in it.
  7. Wrong, and wrong again. I gave my solution to the BP problem before last season that a closer was needed, and named names on the possible solution. To start last season with the way the backend of the BP was was not good baseball planning. I’ve also said many times last year, and I’ll say it again this year that Whitlock should be in the pen.
  8. How shallow that is. Just, because I have followed talk radio since I can remember I form my own opinions from watching the games, and not what someone says on the radio, tv, or in the newspaper. Let me see this last losing season, and last in the Div finish did not take any one else to tell me the Sox sucked. If Mass, and Merloni were my sample size, and I can’t stand either one that would be pretty small, but anytime they are mentioned like Shaugnessy sirens go off, and the comments start. You aren’t saying you know more about baseball are you, because you seemed to be bothered y them pretty bad. You guys also hate the real good possibility that Bloom has more critics then supporters out there too, so I take solace that there are a lot more like me out there believe it, or not. It amuses me why this conversation with so many back, and fourth was started up again today, and for what purpose. I know one on here has bragged they have to get the last word in, and so be it, but in the end no one has changed their opinion, and no one is going too. You see things your way, and I see things my way about Bloom.
  9. No big deal to me, but the problem seems to be the criticism of Bloom that gets called bashing, and that upsets some so much. So what? I believe Bloom’s record speaks for itself, but some spend 24 hours a day defending it with the same excuses over, and over. So to some the problem is the criticism of Bloom more than the defending of Bloom. I said i didn’t like the hiring of Bloom on day 1, and that just sets off all kinds of sirens, and whistles, and some can’t understand why someone could say such a thing. Just having a different opinion, which may be overboard, but that happens on both sides does it not?
  10. Much to your chagrin that they do support my opinions, which I’m sure you would do the same thing if they supported your opinions. I’ll take the bigger sample size out there compared to the smaller sample size on here any day, but in the end they are all just opinions. Maybe you are one of the ones who does gets swayed by the media, and that’s alright too. On the other hand I don’t get swayed by opinions of the media anymore then I get swayed by the opinions voiced on here, and you know how that works out.
  11. Missing the point again, but that’s alright. The point being I don’t get swayed by Any opinions in the media, but I said my opinions line up more with what I have heard on the different sports venues then what I see on here. Do you think most opinions voiced on here are more mainstream, or not? I have heard a lot more opinions on other sports venues even in the last year then on here, so I think I have a pretty good grasp of things with all the different opinions shared, and like I said earlier Bloom gets a lot more support on here then anywhere else. V E R Y Interesting in the least.
  12. But on the other hand you have nothing to backup they don’t. Like I’ve said many times all my adventures through all the sports venues through the years starting with Guy Manela, and the Sports Babe I would say I’m more in tune with their thoughts, and opinions then opinions on here.Come to any conclusions you want about that.
  13. Quitting what? The funny part is in all my past adventures through the different sports venues I’ve discovered that Bloom has more supporters on here than anywhere else. In other words not much support at all.
  14. It was pointed out to me several times, and I already knew the answer. Like I said nothing ventured, nothing gained.
  15. I’ll stick to my opinion thank you. To think that most fans opinions are swayed by the mainstream media, and not on their own is completely unsupported. You may get swayed by the media, but I know I don’t.
  16. People who call out Bloom about being cheap already knew the facts that the Sox having one of the highest payrolls in baseball was the results of what happened before Bloom got to Boston, and not what Bloom did. Nothing proved, and nothing gained.
  17. I don’t think most fans go by what the mainstream media say. Fans who watch on NESN, or go to Fenway, and pay the highest priced tickets in baseball can see things for themselves. I don’t think you are giving the fans enough credit to figure things out on their own.
  18. Let’s see now. Paxton is for cheap money, and coming off a injury who used to be a decent pitcher the kind of player that Bloom likes, and he would think of trading him? Bloom would not trade a guy like that he would sign a guy like that. Oh wait he did.
  19. Didn’t most of the budget come pre Bloom?
  20. Disagree, and I would think the uproar by the amount of RedSox fans, and media alike would tell you that, and then again maybe not.
  21. Nowhere good enough for Most of Red Sox fans I would guess though.
  22. Some keep blaming DD for the poor mess that Bloom has found himself in, and the budget, but playing that broken record only has ears for few people, and the rest Never listened in the first place. Bloom has been in charge for 3 years now, and for Most fans he is being held responsible, and should.
  23. If Bogey walks, and Raffy shortly after him that would make losing 3 homegrown future HOF talent in 5 years, and I think JH will feel it in the pocketbook more than just in attendance.
  24. And should be. Even if the Red Sox had gotten into the WS, and won it all in 2021 last years losing last place in the division record would still be unacceptable.
  25. I’m not saying he’s done a good job of it, but only that it should be down on his list of priorities, and not near the top.
