  1. Wow unlike Austin Davis who was claimed off waivers by the Twins the Sour Man has made it through without being claimed. That was a close call, so outright to Worcester he goes.
  2. Good old Dodgers. What would we do without them?
  3. Let’s not forget CC too.
  4. The story I got was Will Myers’s then either Margot, or Naylor, and either Quantrill, or Lucchesi, but also a hangup was paying for Myers’s contract, and how much. I don’t think SD wanted Price at all.
  5. I think it depends too on what shape your team is in. The shape the Red Sox are in at the moment the Red Sox need all the help they can get, and anyway they can get it.
  6. He pitched best when he was an opener.
  7. If you had a floor yes. How often does bottom teams get in?
  8. We do agree, and I bet the cheap owners would spend if push come to shove.
  9. The Twins have claimed Austin Davis off waivers. As if the Twins weren’t already loaded in the BP.
  10. Agree that the pen has been the best all year with Houck, Whit, and Schreiber at the backend. It didn’t last long with Houck getting hurt, and I think Schreiber has been really worked hard with lots of stressful situations. Not many opportunities lately for Whitlock with the way the team has been going.
  11. Solid ceiling, and a solid floor to me would be the best way to go with the solid floor more important of the two.
  12. Same injury, but isn’t missing 40 games this year, and most of last year a lot? Do you think he’ll stay healthier with age.
  13. The problem is I want major league players back in a trade like Manny, or Pedro, and not a prospect. What’s wrong with that?
  14. I agree with this, and you are the smart one for turning down the sound. Even though I referenced Millar I find him hard to listen to. Keep up the good work.
  15. I think every other team does.
  16. I’ve already mentioned that in a previous post, that contracts have gone up big time since JH bought the team.
  17. I think the eye test says that both deserve the abuse, but the BP was what was being discussed. Did year hear Millar bring up the eye test during the broadcast last night?
  18. I don’t think the Yankees are looking at Cora, and say the Red Sox have an advantage, because of him. I’ll admit Boone may be a disadvantage though.
  19. Where did you get that idea? I have said more than once that while I don’t like long $300M+ contracts I could care less if JH has to shell out $500M for payroll.
  20. He’s missed 40 games this year, and only played 36 last year.
  21. I don’t think you would need a gate, or electric fence for this bunch except maybe to keep them out, and not in.
  22. Yaz, and Williams were never long term commitments, and neither was Big Papi.
  23. I’m not talking about when he’s on the field, but the amount of time off the field. Come on man!
  24. I bet the Yankees are saying the same thing about Cora, and especially Bloom.
  25. We’ve brought up the Worcester starting staff, so might as well try all the BP as well.
