  1. Two strikes on you now. Wow! Was JH/Bloom there was those guys? He spelled it out for you the first time, and your trying to deflect away from JH/Bloom combo, but it didn’t work.
  2. He missed the point big time on that one.
  3. Not many homegrown in that bunch. Gee!
  4. Barring an injury Raffy will be the starting 3B of the Red Sox next season, and yes without a new contract.
  5. It’s not like the Sox didn’t need a DH, but I agree that there was bigger needs first.
  6. Let’s remember when FA started Abreu was the first one the Red Sox talked to, so DH seems like a priority to Bloom.
  7. 2/$22M with a opt out after 1.
  8. You keep up bringing up the same excuse/reason over, and over, and over again like that’s the sole reason, and everyone knows it’s not. I will agree it’s part of the problem, but a long ways from being the only problem. Bloom’s decision making, or lack there of is a bigger reason to me. Just in the past year getting rid of a 96 RBI player with 2 arb years left for a more expensive replacement who couldn’t hit his weight, and had to be released made the team worse. Not getting a closer, or anything close to start this past season made the club worse. Sitting on his hands for 2 months watching Franchy StrangeGlove, and Duran the Butterfly Man try to play some resemblance of D, and doing nothing about it made the club worse. Injuries made the club worse. Lack of production from top players made the club worse. Not having anyone ready to go from the farm from a drought is a reason, but a longs ways from being the only, or most important.
  9. Negative results brings out negativity.
  10. What a feel good story to say the Red Sox, and 14 other teams finished behind the O’s. I’m sure most fans will overlook the fact that the Red Sox had a losing record also. In other words don’t worry, and be happy that things aren’t as bad as it seems.
  11. Blow his shoulder out? I haven’t heard anyone from the Red Sox say that Story is physically able to play SS, so why all the fuss.
  12. Yes, but plenty of hype.
  13. A losing last place in the Div team will do that.
  14. The ridiculous offer from the Red Sox would be on the low end of the scale, and not on the high end.
  15. Like I’ve said many times Bloom has had 3 years to work on the contracts of Bogey, and Raffy, and has botched everything so far, so I don’t see Bloom fixing things now especially when things have gotten a lot more expensive. Raffy will play out his last year in Boston, and then move on to greener pastures.
  16. Ah, another shoutout, but a day late, and a dollar short, For something that was NEVER implied, or NEVER said that was a pretty stupid statement to make in your long list of stupid statements. Remember your guarding the third, and first base line statement? That was a doozy!
  17. I don’t think Raffy will get traded at all, and will be handled like Bogey was, and will deal with him next offseason. That way they can spread out the anger from the fans, and not to lose Bogey, and Raffy all at once.
  18. Losing 2 future HOF with a possible 3rd out the door too.
  19. Well said, and I’ll drink to that.
  20. Cora has been pretty quiet through all that has gone on, or hasn’t gone n this offseason. I wonder what he thinks of the 2023/Red Sox as it stands today compared to last year. Outside of the BP I can’t believe he’s to pleased.
  21. It doesn’t matter if I said D before, or not? It doesn’t matter if I said D for 1 year before , or not? I don’t have to say it every time. Once should be enough, and what I called you liar about was that you going with the story that I never said those two things before, which I have, and more than once. We definitely need an objective observer to come, and straighten this out, and if they did I have to doubt they would ask if you are for real.
  22. No. Last place here we stay.
  23. JD was a late signing when he came to Boston 5 years ago, but I can’t see Bloom paying much money now, so you are probably right.
  24. I have always understood the importance of the farm system ever since my favorite Red Sox team of all 1967 was all pretty much all homegrown, and young at the time, and then to follow that up with the Rice, Lynn Fisk, Evans teams of the 70’s. Now those were bumper crops.
  25. Once again we agree. I think JD will bounce back somewhat, and Abreu was at the top of Bloom’s list, so I guess he wants a little thump at DH.
